ibis Sydney Darling Harbour

We stayed for 2 nights on a family trip on New Year's Eve. The facilities were old and the waiter's attitude was the worst I've ever encountered. I asked for room cleaning but was told that I could only clean the floor and give towels because it was already past 10 am when informed that day. I couldn't change the sheets and quilts, but they didn't clean them on the first day. On the second day, I broke into the room without permission and put Christmas cards and desserts on the table (I had time to bring gifts and they didn't clean them either? !) About unauthorized access The police can be notified of break-ins! We booked another hotel nearby for the second night, which was a very regrettable experience.

Great location. Easy access to the Sydney CBD via Pyrmont Bridge.
Difficult check-in. Even with my booking confirmation email the check-in lady couldn't find my booking. Took ages to check in.
Poor quality room. Lots of chipped tiles, damaged furniture. Also the room smelt very moldy.

Stayed here for a business trip and have to write in and rave about a staff member by the name of Peter.

He assisted me with the transportation of some items I used for a business expo and was super accommodating.

After a stressful weekend on business his additional help and kindness was really appreciated.

Very dated rooms, the location is excellent but the rooms and halls look very old. Needs a renovation asap.

Haven't stayed there yet. Just made a booking which Amanda (in Booking office) made such a pleasant, 5 star, experience

The view was stunning but the room did not live up to the expectation. Given it is an iconic hotel overlooking an iconic place (darling harbor), you would expect great rooms but it was just okay. Looked like a room you would find in an average hotel

Conveniently located, pleasant staff, room fine. Nice full continental breakfast. Would stay here again for sure. Thankyou

Our party booked 4 rooms. Check in and out went smoothly. Easy undercover parking. Rooms clean.however a few repairs needed. One ensuite handbasin was badly cracked.a germ trap. Bar and restaurant staff friendly and helpful. Good range of breakfast goodies, although some of the cooked food didn't seem fresh.

The room was clean and temperature controlled. It is enough space for just me and very cosy. I went to sleep and woke up to an amazing view.

Clean room, great location. Parking is conveniently located and very affordable.
Good budget choice while not skimping quality.

Rooms are dated but beds and pillows very comfortable and everything is clean. Staff very happy and welcoming. We had a standard Darling Harbour view room which had a great view on 8th floor. In a great position at Darling Harbour. Highly recommended.

Superb location - very close to both Darling Harbour and the new Light Rail line. Room was quite small but very clean. View was of the road/ rooftops not the harbour. Check in was efficient, though not particularly friendly. Still, it's quite good value and I'd stay here again just for the location.

Perfect location for a couple of days stay. Close to where we needed to be. Rooms were ok. What you would generally expect. Some wear and tear. Staff however were exceptional. Very friendly and welcoming. Didn’t dine at hotel but seems very popular.

Brilliant hotel and service was second to none, always with a smile. So recommend this hotel and will stay here again sometime soon.

Good budget hotel. Right on the harbor. Great view. Rooms are comfortable. Good breakfast menu. Great room service. If you can manage with a small bath space, rest all is good.

Lets be fair. You dont stay here cause its classy or has great service staff or lovely rooms. You stay here because its close to places you want to go and its cheap.and the comfortable beds mean you at least can rest well from the proper adventures.

Great location, great views, great staff and a room that was more than adequate. The only fault that I found was that the bacon is steamed rather than grilled. Will definitely be back.

Wonderful hotel a MUST VISIT. Also has fantastic facilities and unlimited wifi with ZERO charges until you check out.

And is extremely fast as fast as your wifi.

Fantastic place to stay, rooms were awesome, restaurant and bar great and staff were amazing and so accomadating.

View from our room was absolutely spectacular. Room was just basic but it has everything we need. Breakfast, variety of foods & beverage is good, just need to improve with pattiseries section. Located in best spot of darling harbour, restaurant and attraction are around and easy to find. Definitely will come back!
