Never have I been to a health examination place with such appalling service.

On 14/12/2023 9: 00am I came here for a ultrasound scan. As I arrived, there were three staffs behind the counter, one girl was chatting with another girl, and man was on a phone call and another woman showed “not interested” on her face.

The line was empty and I waited, and since I was not being served, I approached the girl who was chatting with other girl, she stared at me angrily and gave me a serious preaching “just give us a second, we’re talking about work! ”, surely you’re talking about work happily and laughing so that you can neglected a patient in front of you.

Not only that, the images quality is **terrible**.

People, if you like to hand over your health to these kinds of staffs, you’re welcome to come, but I won’t again, because I now know you can go to the other place even though it’s different on you referral letter.

I have recently had get some x-ray and ultrasound done and I was very pleasantly surprised by both the reception and the specialists at this centre. One of the senior staff members (unfortunately I didn't get her name) was particularly helpful. You know how it is when you have some serious health concern and an imaging specialist is all cryptic and won't talk to you after the scan, she had none of that and was very warm and reassuring.

Appalling lack of service when having waited 5 weeks for results, to be told it was my doctors fault for not chasing them up, when in fact my doctors receptionist had been chasing them without success. Then the lack of information regarding Medicare rebates made it even more of an issue. Extremely disappointing.
Definitely would not recommend.

Absolutely five stars.after a terrible experience at another Radiology Clinic which was traumatic with lack of care. I called IMED Chatswood - right from the first phone call the man on the phone was polite, knowledgeable, helpful and left me completely organised and reassured. When I arrived the reception desk team were also friendly and outstanding in their level of knowledge and helpfulness. The first clinician was Lucy who was very thorough and professional, then my next appointment I met the sonographer David and he took the time to take me through exactly what the procedure was and why - was very thorough - and again left me feeling reassured and safe. The procedure was conducted by the Interventional Radiologist Dr Terry Lo who was brilliant, professional and clearly very experienced. I had my results within the two days and my GP and I have discussed next steps. Thank you IMED for providing an outstanding service from start to finish of the patient journey.

The place is clean and well laid out seemed great at first. I had booked and appointment prior to visiting. Made it clear I needed an ultrasound AND an X-ray. I wrote in the comments section i also need a X-ray. The system only lets you book for one service at a time. When I got to the front desk she questioned me and said “are you sure you need an ultrasound” I explained yes I need both an ultrasound and an X-ray. She didn’t say anything about not being referred for both.

The ultra sound was done quickly and efficiently, however afterwards I explained that I need an X-ray also, the technician she asked me to wait in a cubicle and I sat there for 40 mins no one came and talked to me or told me there was a wait nothing. Staff continued to walk past me watching me sit there. I had to ask what is going on, I returned to the front desk I was told I only booked for an ultrasound, even though I had written in the comments section that I need an X-ray too. They allowed me to sit there for 40 mins with no one checking to see what is going on. Would not recommend this place they clearly don’t care about their patients. No communication between staff, if they had just told me in the first place I would have known and wouldn’t have wasting my time.

Poor service from front desk staff. I asked for medical certificate for overseas insurance claim but front desk staff refused to do anything except giving the standard invoice and certificate of attendance. Those documents provide no specific diagnosis/treatment received specifically.

I don't understand why the MRI safety check is just a verbal questionnaire. Hand held MRI metal detectors cost 400-500 dollars. There are also full body MRI ferra alert detection systems that can be fit on the door frame that instantly scan your whole body for magnetic metals.

We are only given a 'cope button' to press if you are in pain by which time the damage is probably already done.

Cannot recommend Shauvan enough for kids needing MRI's (as opposed to regular clinics with no on-site paediatricians). Shauvan was absolutely fantastic with my 4.5yr old, who needed to sit still in the MRI machine for 30 minutes. For those on lengthy waiting lists for play therapy MRI appointments in hospitals, this is a great, fast alternative. My daughter wasn't scared, she sat still for 30 mins and even said she would do the whole thing again! (This was a great result for us as my daughter leans towards the more anxious side.) Really happy with the results. Thank you

I have been here a few times and have always had a pleasant experience. The staff are nice and patient. I had an ultrasound and x-ray done recently and was taken in on time and treated very well. My results were sent to the GP on the same day. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Staff are friendly and attentive. Waiting time is short - I always book online and I have always had my procedure at the scheduled time, without extra waiting. Organized, caring and professional!

Booked an MRI for our 5 year old daughter but was quite nervous with the fact that such little girl is to be put on MRI machine for 30-60 minutes.

The receptionist arranged for an MRI radiographer, Chevaun to call me back and she explained how she has been working with children for 20+ years and also explained the process, including asking us watch a video about a child getting MRI before the scan day. It somehow made us as parents more confident and calm.

On the scan day, we were asked to arrive 1 hour prior to the actual appointment so Chevaun can do play-therapy with did a couple of test scan. She can choose some songs she wants to listen to whilst the MRI is being done.

Everything went smoothly and we cannot recommend Chevaun high enough!

I've had a few scans here myself and brought my extended family - all of which were well received. The staff are always so nice and attentive. Will come back if I ever do need some scans.

My first encounter with them was when they were not i-Med and were located behind Chatswood Chase. Back then I was impressed with their shiny new equipment and superior resolution it was giving compared to one found in an established radiology.

Since then I used their services multiple times including MRI last week. From reading an year-old reviews it is clear that the reception is no longer a problem. To the contrary, compared to other providers, they are the most knowledgeable and helpful I ever experienced.

I can only fail them for not measuring visitors' temperature during COVID-19, not sure how they can get away with that legally.

The equipment used this time is also the best I’ve seen and the procedure had been performed with upmost professionalism.

Sadly, all that good will goes down the drain with poor reporting. The report is so vague and lacking specifics that I likely ask another radiology to do the report. It does not even mention what should definitely be there and first discovered by themselves when they were a different company and clearly had better specialist writing reports.

It could be one-off, but the same doctor who wrote this report also failed to find the same thing on previous US investigation.

In hopes to fix the issue I sent them an email. 2 days later I had to call them to find out whether they read my message or not. It turns out that they decided just not to reply.

I think that any reasonable person would lose confidence in their end product and never use their services again, which is sad taking into account how good other aspects of their service are.

Another thing to be aware of, their policy is not to release report for 5 days to the body.

Brilliant. Really appreciate the receptionist phoning my gp 3 times to fax my referral through. My fault for getting the paper wet in the rain.

Was asked by my doctor to get an MRI for a recent concussion. Considering it was friday it was urgent I get in that day and Imed were able to fit me in a few hours later, just before close of business.

I got there and the staff were very friendly. They were running about 15 minutes late but the staff were very attentive and regularly updated me on how long it would be.

After getting my scan (after most of the office had left and I was the only customer remaining) the lady working came out and asked if I would be willing to do another scan as it may be necessary. This was very kind they had taken this degree of care despite everyone else having left the office on a Friday before Christmas.

After the second scan 20 mins later, I noted I may need a report urgently due to nature of the injury. By the time I got home I got a call from the doctor, this was well past 6pm now, and he noted there may be an issue and the report would be ready for my gp first thing in the morning as well as to stay alert to my condition worsening.

So a big thank you, and sorry for forgetting the staffs names, to both the receptionist, the lady who assisted me with my scans with a constant smile and the male doctor for all your help today and going the extra mile all of you.

Being highly claustrophobic going into any machine whatsoever, I was anxious and agitated, and found the staff so understanding, kind and helpful on the two occasions I had a chest CT scans - have to have one more, and the thought of that is not so bad, knowing how nice the staff are.

Supposedly a walk in xray place but waited over an hour to get an xray on my foot (xray only took 5 minutes). It wasn't even busy when we turned up and at least three sets of people had come and gone and we were still waiting. After asking receptionist they said I was next (that was half an hour in). Suggest you book appointment ahead of time if you can't wait.
