I Maccheroni

Visited for a birthday celebration; the food, wine and service were all excellent. Really looking forward to going back soon.

A charming restaurant that attracts Paddington locals and destination diners. The food is delicate yet unpretentious. The service is professional and relaxed. The outdoor seating on the street is great for couples.

We have eaten at restaurant I Maccheroni and also used them for catering. Each time the food and service were absolutely superb. Our guest's loved the food at our event and the team were amazing. The restaurant is gorgeous and food fantastic. Highly recommend.

The boar ragu and the cheese wheel pasta was quite good. Very good by Sydney standards.

There was only one issue, however: their tortellini with porcini and truffle is to absolutely DIE FOR!

We also had the bread served with olive oil and balsamic. Bread was ok but their balsamic is really really good.

The service was attentive though the food was a bit slow.

The singular negative I can think of is the serving sizes but considering the quality, compromise worthy! You'll love it!

The place was lovely with a very cute and subtle atmosphere, service was great and fast out to the table.however, the food was very very expensive for lack of quality, I ordered the $98 steak with truffle sauce in medium rare - came out blue and didn’t have a lot of flavour.personally I would expect to pay at most $40 at a random pub for that.sauce was goopy and just tasted like cream really not truffle… the cheese wheel pasta was ok but pasta definitely wasn’t cooked, I felt a crunch for part of it which I think we all know pasta isn’t supposed to be like that.but the arancini balls were nice with the paprika Mayo and the olives with bread was nice… don’t even get me started on those overly steep stairs leading to the upstairs seating area though. Plus it would have been nice to know the price of the champagne before he ordered it for us.

I really enjoyed the cheese making course at I Maccheroni. It was a lot of fun and the lunch afterwards was delicious.

One of the best decision we made for our big day was to hire Il Maccheroni for our catering. The team sprung I to action to help us reorganise all the furniture once the rain started which was above and beyond.

The food was amazing! All our guests went home with extra pizza and raved about how delicious it all was. We will definitely recommend to all our friends and family. Absolutely no regrets!

Fantastic food and a great cozy venue. I recommend sitting downstairs in the lounge area. The choice at lunchtime is limited to starters and pastas with sides. But the food was incredible and good value

A nice and intimate restaurant in a convenient location. The food was great and atmosphere to match. Service was good and felt like a family-run business.

They really don't know what the difference is between vegan and vegetarian. I should've been more on the ball but just assumed the cheese was vegan, it definitely wasn't. Very disappointed considering how much I paid.

Cracking local Italian. Great, cosy evening dining room with a real buzz. Great wine list and even better house red. Very honest, well presented pastas and some very clean starters.

Had a delicious meal here with family and the service was great. Really looking forward to the completion of the Oxford Street East Cycleway so that I can ride here safely and visit more often!

Extremely bland flavour pasta, no garlic or chili flavours. Small servings. Shard of plastic in one of the dishes (they did take this off the bill).

The dinning experience was a great surprise. We decided to try I maccheroni after a friend recomemddd it to us and it did not disappointed. Food was incredible, service was quick and efficient and the staff was extremely friendly and made us feel so welcomed.
They were great at recommending the best wine for our mains.
We had the buratta with prosciutto and figs for entree and the cacio and Pepe in a cheese wheel and it was delicious and my partner order the fish and it would melt in your mouth. The panna cotta finished it perfectly.
We already planning to come back and will definitely recommend it to our friends.

Had dinner Monday night, mid November 2022. Prosciutto e melone, zucchini flowers, crab tagliolini, slow cooked ribs were superb. The atmosphere is classy and the fitout is modern and stylish. SERVICE WAS ABYSMAL. Menu snatched out of my hand, bottles and dishes slammed on the table, monosyllabic, grunted responses and zero warmth. Don’t think I’ve ever been treated like this even at the lowliest food court. Most upsetting dinner experience in a long, long time. I’ll take my money elsewhere thanks.

Love this place! Such accomodating staff and lovely food. We came as a large group/function and they we’re very generous with their time and very organised. Made life very easy! Will definitely be back!

Our dining experience was exceptional the food the ambiance was next level. And the staff here are the best. I felt like we were in Italy. If your looking for the best Italian food in Sydney book here. I cannot thank the team here enough making our night so memorable.

The best fresh Italian meal Ive had in a long time! They were helpful and catered so well to my plant based needs. The restaurant is set in a lovely neighborhood, the cosy atmosphere was very inviting and the customer service was five star. You will not be disappointed!
