Approximately 2 months ago, I rang up and spoke to Robert about wanting to do get my car windows tinted. This was my first experience in relation to this matter, so I had no previous knowledge about car window tints prior to coming to this place. Robert asked me if I had any previous tints on the car, in which I told him I didn't. I told Robert that I had a friend who was also interested in getting his car windows tinted too, with him also not having any previous knowledge about car window tints. It was on this basis Robert and I came to a mutual agreement on a discounted price because I was bringing another person with me so he could work on his car too.

My appointment was booked for 10AM, and my friend's car was booked for 11AM (as I was advised he takes an hour to do each car). I gave Robert a courtesy call in the morning telling him that due to unforeseen circumstances, I was going to be running just 10 minutes late. He advised me that this was fine, but to try and get there as soon as I can because he was going to be busy throughout the day, which is understandable. I arrived at the shop at exactly 10 past 10 and Robert did not seem to have any issues with this all (same way he didn't on the phone).

Robert inspected my car and told me that I did in fact have tints on my windows already. The tints on my windows were the factory default tints the car came with from when I purchased it, however I never knew about this because the tints that were already on the car weren't distinct enough for me to realise that there were tints in the first place. Robert pointed and showed me where the tints started from, to which I then understood. Robert, at this stage, did not mention to me anything about any changes in his price, because he did not start putting on the new tints yet. He then told me and my friend to take a seat (approximately 3 metres away from him), on the other side of the car where he was going to start with, so we did.

About 10-15 minutes into the session, Robert called me over to my car. He told me he had put a tint on the window, and then pointed to me a mark on the window, saying this was as a result of the tint I did not tell him about before he put the new tint on (even though before he started, he inspected the car and told me that I already have a tint on the car). Baffled by this, I told Robert that firstly, that I was not aware that my car window was already tinted, and secondly, that he inspected the car first before he started the job, and saw there was a clear tint on the window already, so common sense so should say that you remove that tint first before commencing anything.

Robert at this stage became increasingly aggressive to the point my friend had to intervene, saying that it was my fault this had happened, and flipped the entire blame on me "for not telling him that there was an existing tint on the window already", and he also carried on to say that not only did I come late, "but I was now holding him back on his ENTIRE day, because the work will now involve him in taking double the time, starting all over again. "

As I was defending what I had to say in relation to his claims, including telling him about how I called him beforehand letting him know I was going to be late and he was ok with it, and how he inspected the car before he put his new tint on, he denied everything (whilst yelling) saying he was going to charge me extra to what we intially agreed on, and as such I was forced to continue the job with him because I still needed him to remove another faulty tint his colleague had put on another window.

The job finished, took double the time I was supposed to be there, and top of everything, he had the audacity to charge me the additional amount. Even after I finished paying the extra amount for something that wasn't my fault, I received no apology for the way he carried on. If anything, he tried to justify a "misunderstanding".

This was not a misunderstanding. It was nothing less than a RORT, and I was taken advantage of to the effect that this was my first experience.

This is my families 3rd car ive had rob and his team tint. I cross over 5 suburbs to get to earlwood from cronulla passing im sure many tinting places, but im assured of a great job at very reasonable rates. Thanks to Rob at hypertint.

Rang on the Thursday and were able to get me in Friday. The guys were friendly, super efficient and overall a great experience. Would recommend to anyone.
Price was very cheap. I had to ask twice as I thought I didn’t hear it probably. Tint quality is A1. I would definitely be back with my next car.

I had my little Hyundai Getz done a few weeks ago and I am so happy with the result. Despite not really knowing any details about what I wanted apart from the tinting in general to help my car from getting so hot, they were so kind and patient in suggesting my options. The job was done reasonably fast, and I'm really happy with the results.

Amazing service. They use the best materials, do a perfect job and are still very well priced. Half the price of others. They gave us a genuine price, where others charge double when they hear BMW M4.

If you're undecided, just go with these guys. You won't regret it.

Used these guys for over 10 years. Have tinted 8 cars within our family, 6 of my friends cars and glass frosting at our home. One of the best in the business, couldn't rate these boys any higher. Doesn't matter if you drive a Corolla or a Ferrari, the same care is taken.
