The canteen ladies are scammers. They dont tell u if something is vegetarian and then get mad for asking your money back. I lost my money because of them and then when i told them i wanted a chicken tender they misheard as a sandwich and gat mad at me for telling them i wanted a tender. This canteen deserves nagative 5 stars.

I went here 2015-2020, it's a great school. I see somebody reviewed 'science equipment is low quality', I think not at all! This may be because all the cool equipment only gets used by seniors (e.g. Solenoids, calorimeters), Vernier technology (a very good brand) and of course the huge amount of circuitry. Agriculture is alright, it's got a lot of applicable content that can help you in science and english. Conveniently located near Glenfield Station, which is great if you're a train spotting fan, we get a few freight trains come by occasionally.

The school has a great handball community which occupies most of the main court - a disadvantage is the ground is slanted so stray handballs can go really far. Also if you're used to playing soccer on a large field at lunch in other schools, you'll have to adapt to playing on small tennis courts instead here. At the canteen, the following items are $2 each at the time I write this: a 250mL Up&Go, a chicken tender, a garlic bread. The standard school locker is 24.6cm x 39.5cm x 42cm which can fit a dozen exercise books, but CAN'T fit an esky. The library's a cosy place which even has a dedicated manga section with full collections of Naruto, One Piece, Case Closed, Attack on Titan, Sailor Moon and Slamdunk which I don't think a typical school library would have. There's even BEAN BAGS which are fun to lay in. The hall is hardwood floor which can hurt your bottom if you sit for an hour-long assembly, and the space is barely sufficient when ~1,000 students occupy it.

The navy sports uniform is a comfortable brisk material, but the emblem is sown from the inside so if you have a sensitive nipple it can be annoying in my experience. The khaki summer uniform is excellent for camouflage though. Other interesting places include a stick insect enclosure outside the science staffroom, an abandoned pool and a billiards room. My favorite teachers include Bayer, Musico, To, Yuen, Dayaganon. Anyways, HAHS is overall an interesting place with QUALITY facilities and equipment.

Principle of hurlstone please make more classrooms for our year 7 grades so we can give more students, opportunities. An example is one student losing 1 mark towards getting in this school when they worked so hard and lost the place. This way we can all make hurlstone a better environment and high school for our students. I am a parent and my child is devastated not making to hurlstone high school because he lost it by a 3 marks. It would be amazing if u could build 1 or 2 more year 7 classrooms.thank you so much since I know this is a major thing to ask for.

The reason I picked this school is because of convenience and education.
This school has a wide range of opportunities and the new science and stem block is amazing too. The only thing that is a little critical is the quality of science equipment. That is the only downside to this amazing school. If you are interested in Agriculture, go for it, as I said, this school has many amazing aspects.

I really like this school so far, my only problem is the seating in assembly, because it isn't really that spacious:/

I can say this is a good school, and I love the agriculture here. It also has great teachers! But, there is a downside that I'd particularly say.
This is not pointing out to everyone, but I heard some rumours of this school not to schools around it, like MFHS, but schools which are all selective like Fort St. And this is not happening just once, but every day. When I drop off at my usual train station, I always hear these girls talking about an autistic person & making fun of that person. This is not okay. This makes people offended & I've heard this from not only my school, but from other schools where my friends & relatives are at. Now, I'd be happy to talk to the principal, Christine Castle.
Don't get me wrong, you are a very good principal & I'd like this school to thrive more into positive situations. But, the fact that I heard rumours behind my back was very uncomfortable. So, if you have time, can you please investigate this further? Thank you very much for doing this.
Once again, you are a very good school & I don't want to think about people being offended by this review. But really, if you keep this up, people will be more depressed & I don't want that to happen. So please don't rumour & gossip about others.
