Hunter Antiques

I was thrilled to discover that Hunter Antiques had the gate-leg games table that I had been looking for a while; they are not easy to find. Ian was super helpful sending me photos and the tables dimensions before going to see it and organizing a time to visit the shop. When we arrived Ian was very helpful showing us how to open the table safely so you don't break the hinges and helping us lift the table into the boot of the car. It is a beautiful and simple little table that we are thrilled to be able to give a new home for the purpose for which it was built.

Left this shop with 2 light shades, and arm chair and a basket. All incredibly funky, well priced and Ian was great to have a laugh and chat with. Will definitely be back.

I have never left a 1-star review for any venue prior to this and feel uncomfortable even posting this one, however this was an intensely uncomfortable experience. The owner suddenly became very hostile as we were looking at purchasing some items. Notwithstanding his poor demeanor, the offerings were slim compared to other places in town. He certainly seems keen to chat but I've never had someone switch tune to so aggressive in such a short timeframe; not entirely sure what we said or did wrong, we hadn't even mentioned an offer price. I strongly recommend giving this a wide berth and checking out other places in town. Disappointing.

Great selection of unusual items. Ian is very accommodating and fun to chat with. He's very knowledgeable with almost anything. Good service
