Hugos Manly

Love the food and vibe at Hugo's, I've been a long time visitor as a local, even had our wedding dinner there in 2013. Lovely meal there at the weekend, however, it started badly with a table next to ours being extremely rowdy and then rude to us. I complained to one of the two managers but it turned out one of the guys on that table was his best fried and so they were just moved to another table. Our waiter, while really nice, also shared that he was extremely hungover which did at least explain why he wasn't very attentive and forgot quite a lot of things through our night there. However, the food was great, especially the croquettes, always a winner.

The best service I’ve experienced in Manly thus far. We have been to another 8 restaurants and nowhere we’re we served the same way. The table was cleaned between appetizers and the main course and again before dessert. We were asked if we needed something and if everything was ok repeatedly and I was under the impression that nobody even did this in Manly because it was the first of 8 restaurants to even come back and check on us. The food tasted exquisite and the fish was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was great.

Great Place for Luch. Yes, a bit expensive but look at the location. Also pizza's are an option to not tottaly blow your budget. We had a big lunch eating oysters to salman tartare to pasta's and pizzas. Great drinks, great wine, great service.

Beautiful dining room and very friendly service. The Sunset Geisha was one of the best cocktails I have ever had. The food was delicious also!

First time dining in here at hugos with my husband and daughter,
There foods amazing, delicious and beautiful presentations.
We really loved and enjoyed the foods especially the SALMON TARTARE and CEVICHE TUNA.
We literally coming back again

My favourite restaurant in Manly which has great food, drinks, service and staff.

The seafood platter and pizzas are amazing so I am always taking friends and family there on the weekends.

Really nice. Chorizo pizza is my favourite pizza in Sydney.
But don’t get the pumpkin gnocchi, unless you look at the pictures here and know EXACTLY what you are ordering.
Meatballs also good as entree.

Worst experience, in the beginning they didn’t give us a good table and then they were trying to move us a couple
Of times pushing us and keep asking the same questions over and over the staff were not organised and connected and the food was terrible.

The sealife around Hugo's is incredible.

I've been at Hugo's and saw dolphins, one of the little pinguïns and recently there was even a whale passing by.

Always great service and the best cocktails! I can highly recommend the mango-coconut daiquiri.

Great view and location, but food is not recommended, we had Trout, Tuna pasta and squid ink linguine, spaghetti, all too salty!

A good place to celebrate for a birthday lunch. The place is nice and the waiters did a good job. The gnocchis were really good but I do not recommend the pizzas at all. I was really disappointed for a place that has received awards. The tiramisu was really good and we were offered some ice creams which were good.

Hugos is a classic. Never disappoints. Great location food and atmosphere. Perfect for a night out.

Good food and drinks. Clean and tidy with a nice fit-out. Sat by the window which was good as it was a sunny day. Seems always busy on weekends so not sure if it will work for larger groups. Service was ok but felt a bit rushed as we had about 45 minutes to finish our food/drinks before the next booking.

I have read the reviews over the last 3 months and I have to disagree with some aspects of what some Reviewers say.
Agree the location is amazing and the view is stunning - the service yes, was very good but, the food is very average and very over priced for what you get.
It won't be a revisit for me!

Excelente venue by the beach! Extensive menu, beautiful starters and mains! Big portions as well. The staff was outstanding with their service. The only
Thing that caught my attention was that the female waiters were dressed very differently from the male waiters. It look like they’re been sexualised with their uniform. I hope the uniform choice is personal and not an imposition from the venue.

DO NOT book with this restaurant if you are not 100% sure your going. I cancelled with more than a week's notice for a 2 person booking and got slugged $100.00 after being told I wasn't going to be charged as I gave good notice. It will be days till the money is returned (or so they say) on account of a "glitch" in the "system'. Never again.

Oh, Yes! Finally.
This place was recommended to us and truly pleasantly surprised. Among other "posh" Manly restaurants, this one finally has something to offer. The staff is well trained, efficient and makes you feel special and the overall experience memorable. The menu is reasonably set for the location, food fresh and well presented.
Thank you again, team. It's great to see the service like this finally meets the European / US standards. See You soon.

No fault with the service, but the food very ordinary and over priced, I think the chef has never heard of seasoning?

Such a nice ambience, vibe, taste, staff and everything over there was awesome. Pizzas and desserts we ordered were very tasty especially that tiramisu and white panacotta.just yummy.we visited there in our anniversary and were very pleased with the quality and everything.made our days very special!
