Disorganised and frustrating. Came in to withdraw money and digital NSW licence, Medicare card, and several bank cards is not enough to validate my identity. I advised them of the amount the day before and that I would be back the following day and they made no mention of their ridiculous ID policies.

Live in Darwin (zero branches). Rung their support desk several times - get hold got to a branch! Asked them to look up where Darwin is in Australia only to be told "yep no branch near you! " - great so now what - "You have to go to a branch! " Worse customer service ever experienced! Did the pandemic miss HSBC completely! How come you cant help a regional customer - I cant go to a branch you have frozen my account so I cant get to my money! And on top of this, I need the money to buy a flight ticket to go to the UK where my Mother has just been diagnosed with Cancer - so now need to borrow money to go and see my mum

Very regimented bank. Unable to perform simple transactions like change of address etc. Is this run by the Chinese CP? Keep away from this bank
