Shout out to Abdul!
I was not happy with my existing Tax Agent. I decided to do my tax return with H&R Block. I came across Abdul Safi who was friendly and showed genuine interest in my tax return. He helped me achieve a great outcome! He is professional and knowledgeable and the team is great. I have recommended my family & Friends to see him next year!

Incredibly bad service on numerous fronts. I had my tax done at Penrith H&R block. For 3 years worth of tax, it cost $1085. I do not own any investment properties and it should be quite straight forward. Nonetheless, I did it and filled out the paperwork appropriately where my fee was to be taken out of the return.

3 months later, I received both an email and text message stating I had an outstanding fee and it would be withdrawn from my bank account, without my say or knowledge. Confused on what this fee was, I went into the branch. I was turned away because they could not confirm what the fee was.

3 days later, I receieve another message stating the fee would be withdrawn from my bank account, again, without my say.

Incredibly overpriced, lack of communication and a lack of professionalism.

Would not recommend. Go somewhere else where it is cheaper and you won't be threatened with an unknown fee and turned away when you're prepared to pay it, for the threats to return. Awful

I recently went to H&R block to get my tax returns done. Robert was my tax consultant and he’s done an amazing job. Good and fast service. A little on the pricey side, but I guess the pricing is tiered depending on your deductions & investments. But I do recommend!

Their service is very poor. My partner went to their office and gave them all the documents that are needed for the lodgement of his tax return. The tax agent told him a misleading advice. After hearing what she said, I started to question her capability and her competency.
After 4 weeks, his tax return wasn't lodged, so he sent an email of complaint. They then asked him to go to the office- the tax agent told him that he will be paying ATO 48 thousand. He was very surprised, he then found out that she made a huge mistake no wonder ATO rejected it when she lodged it before. It was rectified and what he owes to ATO went down to 7 thousand. They then again promised him that it will be lodged after 4 days, but until now we are still waiting in vain. It’s already been 6 weeks considering that all documents were provided towards the end of June.

People go to tax agents and pay fees hoping to seek professional support/advice not the other way around.

This concern can be escalated to fair trading for them to investigate and check the competency and check the qualifications of H&R tax agents.

H & R Block Penrith, the worst tax accountants I've ever encountered. Very poor and expensive service. 1 week down the line since engaging with a tax accountant to do my returns, they still haven't lodged it to the ATO. I have called every single day since last Friday, 29 July 2022 and was advised that someone will get back to me, I'm still waiting for a call back. I decided to physically take myself to the Penrith office to find out what was happening, spoke to Jo-Anne who assured me that my tax will be lodged by today, and that she would call me.again, nothing. I called the office today and was assured that I'll be called, you guessed it! No outcome. They charge you for services they don't provide. Their attitude is very poor and no one bothers to explain the whole process and what happens in the background. In essence, I coughed up $170 for a 10 minute poor 'service' by an accountant who seemed to be in a rush. Technically, the services I have paid for have not been provided. I'll be claiming a refund since it seems like my tax return will never be lodged to the ATO. Best of luck to anyone who is planning on engaging H & R Block Penrith services. Prepare yourself for disappointment and being overcharged for poor services. I wouldn't advise anyone and I mean anyone to use them.

Not happy with the charging fee.
Got told from a account that because you are over 21 you have to pay $154. I am only claiming for individual tax, most tax return has the price showing clearly. This one has a very confusing price chart. Not been advertised anywhere on their website. Not recommend!

Excellent customer service provided by Jo-Anne Cane. She helped me to achieve the best possible outcome of tax return. Thank you very much Jo-Anne for assisting me throughout the process and resolving all my tax related problems. Really appreciate the extra time you have spent to critically think and providing the best solution at a very reasonable cost. Not going anywhere else for my tax problems, see you soon for FY 2022. Not good for us.
Didn't provide us enough information in tax return so had to re do again.
Too expensive we paid $550 for two individuals tax return.

I've been to different H & R Blocks over the years, with varying degrees of success. I only went this year as I thought I was getting a refund. I didn't and was out of pocket $130 for the fee. I would've left it until next year and got two years done at the same time. I also didn't like the drop-off format this year, as I felt it was very impersonal.

2 calls over different days to book an appointment.promises both times for a call back to book.nothing.really poor

Tax agent was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. She obtained the maximum refund for me.

Went in on the Thursday a couple weeks ago to book an appointment.
Didn't get a confirmation call until 7: 30pm that night, where a 3pm time slot was decided upon.
Went in at 3pm the following day to find the only rostered agent already working with 2 other people.
He then asked me to take a seat and wait.
Confused from the situation. I asked him "how long do I have to wait? My appointment was for 3pm? " and he replied with "about half an hour"
I walked out. Won't be returning. I've done 4-5 tax returns here in previous years. But the staff aren't up to scratch anymore.

At first I was happy with my tax return until I received an assessment from the ATO with a debit amount of $968.00 to be paid because the cap on super hadn't been included.

Been seeing them for a while now. Fantastic experience indeed. The team at Penrith are very knowledgable and go out of their way to assist!

Staff here are very helpful and friendly and I think you should give them a go, they are reasonably priced and quick to achieve a outcome for you.

Dealing with H&R Block Penrith, couldn't have been easier. Neel Sharma, worked with me to ensure that he had all the relevant details to ensure that I claimed all that I was entitled to.

Debbie helped me with my tax return (and when I say helped, she did the whole thing) and she was amazing. Answered all of my questions and is very professional. I will be returning there for my next tax return!

The reception staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating when booking an appointment over the phone and when seen upon the appointment date.

My husband and I both had our tax done tonight and we would highly recommend Mr Arshdeep Singh if you need to get your tax done. Mr Singh was friendly, cheerful, professional and very thorough - making sure that we got the best out of our return that we could. By far the best person we have ever had our tax done by.
