H&R Block

Gone to them for the last 2 years and this year was the final straw, won't be coming back, terrible accounting and communication.
Will be getting the next one done else where.

H & R block Albury are THIEVES, my Mum went there with 12 years of group certificates to do her Tax returns, Now days you can only go back 7 years. Anyway after 5 days of H & R block going through her returns they told her that she isnt in trouble with the Tax office but she wont be getting any return. They pressured her to submit with them. But she felt that what they said was wrong. So She walked into the tax Office in Albury, and got them to do her returns instead. They told her she will be only getting $10,190.00 back, and she should've gone to an accountant instead, because they wouldve got her at least 25% more return back. So she told them about the H & R block incident 2 hrs earlier and they were stunned, Tax office said that H&R Block were gonna keep money for them selves. Because the Tax office return is sent to the Accountant first then they give the money to the client. Tax office also said they wonder how many people have they done that to. I WONDER!
When i told that story to a work Colleague hes heart just sank. He got H & R block to do 0ver 10 years of returns he told me, at first H & R block told him he would be receiving over $20,000.00 even after a fine for not submitting each year was taken out. Then a week later they said that the Tax office have just decided they wont be taking him to court for late tax returns. But he is no longer getting any Money for hes TAX returns. He told me that H & R block made him feel like he might go to jail, so in the end hes was just happy he wasnt in trouble.and he left it at that. He has since learnt that anybody can put in late Tax return over years with the only penalty being a small fine for each year.
Ive told him to get the TAX office to redo hes returns.
I'm betting this common in all H & R Block accountants
