Howlong Golf Resort

A fantastic stay! This accommodations are decidedly ‘motel’ but very clean and good amenities in the room. Very comfy bed! The breakfast provided was white toast, jam, Vegemite and cereal. Lots of coffee and tea and a pitcher of milk for cereal and coffee.
BBQs available and tables/chairs outside under cover for after golf drinks.
We walked to 1/2 acre cafe for coffee and it was awesome!

The couple who managed the resort were very helpful and accommodating. Golf was a great course. Worth checking out.

Recommended accommodation on your self-driving trip from Sydney or Canberra to Melbourne. The one-story house looks like an ordinary motel from the outside. I was pleasantly surprised when I came in. The room for my family of three has 2 single beds and 1 double bed. The room is obviously much larger than an ordinary motel room and is very spacious. The bathroom looks like it was newly renovated, very modern and clean, and quite big. It actually has two sinks! There is no stove but there is a restaurant at the nearby golf club. Go out for a walk in the town. It is so beautiful and quiet, and the weather is sunny. It feels as if you are in a 3D simulated paradise town. It is unreal

Class golf course, bowling greens, croquet and accommodation with Chinese and Australian meals in well appointed clubhouse.

Tuesday night Burger night. Yummy.
Highly recommend for all to try, the burgers are delicious.
Great value for money and lots of different burger options.
Can't wait for next Tuesday night.

The course was way above expectations with great fairways and greens and beautiful trees. A wonderful golfing experience.
Our friends found the food very mediocre and refused to eat there again.

We had a great stay here over the holidays. We stayed in Howlong and traveled around the nearby towns. The kids loved the pool, the rooms were clean and modern, everyone in the hotel and clubhouse were friendly and the golf club has great food options. We will definitely stay again. Thanks!

Was there for Bowls, which seems to be the 'poor cousin' compared to the golf club side.

Horrible. This is the third time I’ve visited the howlong golf club and the first two times there were missing ingredients which we told them and they replaced. Tonight I was served a raw parmi and ate 1/2 before I realised it was raw (waiting so long I was starving). We also ordered 2 garlic breads which came out at the same times our dinner did? ! Would not recommend at all. They did however refund our meal and give us two desserts which I gave away as I was turned off by the raw chicken. Parmis are not hard to cook a 10 year old could cook one? Hope I don’t get sick!

Last minutes booking but very happy with the stay. Clean and quite new facilities. The food were delicious at Fairways Bistros. Beautiful green view and great wifi speed. Wish they have some school holiday golf
lessons activities for the non members and kids

We came up here for new years weekend and could not recommend the place higher! The owners are quick to respond, lovely to chat to and the room service girls were sweet as pie and just extremely helpful. The place is clean and neat and the pool is a beautiful temperature.

The only down side is Melbourne people don’t understand everything closes early in other states. So be organised with food if you have kids

It's not just the coarse it is accommodation the club and the people. Best place ever

We did the dinner and a show. The show was fabulous. Great local talent.
The food was minimalist, entre sized main meal and cold to boot?

A group of us went down for 2 nights stay and golf. We could not fault the accommodation and the golf course.everyone was super friendly and nothing was a trouble to them. We will definitely be coming back.

Always clean, guests respectfully quiet, and comfortable. Been staying for many years when visiting family.

Our golf club just visited last weekend. Everyone was surprised with the golf course. Some challenging hole including some short dog leg par 4's which needed some thinking. Fantastic fairways, green and like carpet. The greens were interesting as you could hit the ball at the pin but very true and slick to putt on. Well done to the golf staff at the pro shop to the superintendent. Accommodation was fantastic, we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which could sleep 6. Very modern and clean. Bistro food was excellent. Our golf club is considering coming again in the near future. Thank you Howlong.
