Thank you Houspect for your professional services over the past months with our build. The inspectors were all so friendly, diligent and extremely knowledgeable and the office was fabulous with their prompt responses. Outstanding service, highly recommended!

Houspect conduct cookie cutter inspections that fail to identify key issues that will end up costing you a lot of money. In my experience they are unapologetic about their mistakes and when a complaint is registered it’s clear that they have lost interest. They will take your money before delivering the drivel they pass off as a building inspection report. An obvious issue relating to a leaking shower and compromised subfloor was missed by these turkeys but was identified in less than five min by an independent builder. Do not waste your money.

I'm very happy with the level of services from Houspect. Peter Farries explained me about the property in detail which helped me in my decision. The staff is super friendly and services are great.

I will highly recommend Houspect

If I could review as zero I would. Horrifically bad experience with this Mickey Mouse company.

13/7/2016 a Houspect inspector came to do a pre-purchase inspection of the house we were attempting to buy, and subsequently bought.

The eventual report noted such "significant issues" as the stairs not meeting Australian Standards, but failed to note the leaking bathroom which had rotted the underfloor (the stuff under the lovely floorboards) in the adjacent loungeroom. Unbelievably, he also failed to notice the stuff that we had seen ourselves inside the house on the other side of the bathroom. As part of purchase price we agreed to have this issue fixed which was the following: replacement of underfloor, whole room recarpeted, whole room repainted, and one wall replaced. None of this was mentioned in the report whatsoever.

Back to MAJOR issue. So the upshot of the missed bathroom/rotting floor issue is that we have to rip out the entire bathroom, rip out that part of the floor and the adjacent wall, find replacement floorboards for the ones that have warped, repaint, resand the entire floor (nearly the whole floor of the house is hardwood floorboards), and there's probably other stuff that builders will be informing me of in due course.

Of course, I've complained but these guys have rejected any responsibility.

Long story short, they're dodgy as a week old prawn cocktail and they'll leave you holding the expensive bag.

See the photo attached if you think I'm being hyperbolic. The floor has failed.
