Hotel Queanbeyan

The Hotel Queanbeyan is a very pleasant venue for a meal and beverages. The meals are very good quality, the service is friendly, and the ambiance is ‘traditional country hotel’.

Probably a 4.5 based. It's really good, just not great enough to get a 5th star. One of the biggest detractors is the smell in two places. Upon entry, it's like a 3rd rate hotel (the after shave that pubs use to cover up the smell of being a pub) & them going to the toilet, you're exposed to a lot of second hand smoke from the pokies.

Service varies but it varies between really good to meh (but not bad). Food is good (quangers burger is good when the chef gets all of the toppings on it), pizza is tasty, chips and wedges are good.

Quiz night is probably one of the best I've been to.

My favourite pub in Queanbeyan by far! Feels like it’s the people’ pub, with great causal atmosphere, friendly staff, good prices and fast service. Mondays and Tuesdays offer cheap schnittys and rump steaks. Best place to watch the NRL, especially for Raiders fans. Haven’t stayed in the accommodation as I am local, but I would expect it to be a classic Aussie Pub stay.

I had booked for one night, when I arrived at 2 when the check in time was, the lady who was supposed to check me in did not acknowledge the lower rate that they had promised and wanted me to wait 2 hours until 4 o'clock so she can supposedly confirm with manager. Rude, non accommodating and an absolute dump of a place that smelled like smoke.

This place was great, very comfy.

Bed was ultra comfy. The air con was cold. The refurbished rooms and bathrooms are really good. Good location that’s a short walk away from the shops.

Uncomfortable bed in a room. Toilet and shower should be cleaned more often. Lack of staff.

Looking for a venue who does buffet for functions at affordable prices and food was AMAZING this be the place to go too! The function room holds its own bar and bathroom areas. Staff are just as amazing!

Recently renovated rooms which retain some of the old character of the building. No issues with shared bathrooms in terms of availability and they have also been recently renovated. Rooms were a bit on the small side, but very good value all things considered.

This is a great pub.

A family friendly venue, great food, great rooms for the price and the staff are to die for. I arrived in Canberra only to be told my accomodation had been cancelled and the staff at the Queanbeyan hotel could not have been anymore friendly and helpful and got me out of quite a spot. The patrons that visit the hotel will have a chat and a beer with you as well a laugh. It was a welcome relief and a breath of fresh air. I cant thank the hotel enough for the services they provided and nothing is to hard to go out of their way to help. 10 out of 10

We booked 3 nights with kids. The first night we went to one of the shared bathroom for shower, suddenly the light went off and totally dark during the shower. My kid was really scared and got panic attack with short breath and screaming. After finally made back to hotel room, my kid couldn't fall asleep but feel scared for quite a long time. I contacted the hotel told them the issue, they advised it never happened before, didn't even say a sorry or apology. As it was Floride time, all other hotel fully booked, otherwise will change to other hotel.

Hotel accommodation is amazing and the service provided was excellent. Very convenient location to supermarkets. Bar staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions. I highly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic establishment. Staff are all extremely welcoming and friendly. Rooms are clean and great value for money. I have had an incredible experience staying here.

The worse motel I've stayed in my 40yrs. There was no hot water. The manager thought it was ok to come into the room at 730am. Udderly disappointed

What a "happening" place! We went for dinner on a Monday night and it was so busy! But no complaints about the service. No delays, lots of tables, lovely food, helpful staff. Great place.

Had a lovely family dinner here tonight and the staff were wonderful, the bar lively and food was very nicely cooked.
Definitely recommend.

Chef didn't care for dietary requirements of one of my friends and it was her birthday. Burger buns were burnt and chips cold. Manager on duty though, gave a complimentary dessert and came to see us. The second star is for the managers apologies and listening to us. Will eat there again though and give it another shot.

I've been here twice in a week now for dinner and both have been really good. The chicken burger was fresh, well balanced and not greasy or overly messy, the sausages I got were exceptionally good.

What strikes me is how cheap the menu is. The portions aren't huge, but even, it's a did few dollars cheaper than any other equivalent option in the area. I'd recommend it.

The venue is clean and well maintained and both times all the staff I've interacted with have been friendly and even keen for a chat.

To the managers I'd pass on to hold the v standard, the bar is set in a good spot, tell the kitchen they're doing a great job.
