Hot Star Large Fried Chicken

I hate to write bad comments but this store is too much. The service is so slow and the staff is unfriendly. I ordered only one pack of fried sweet potato and he took 5 mins just to dip the raw potato into the batter.

The staff there are very lazy 15 mins after taking my order they just start cooking my things and the only reason is they are playing their phones

I got some curly fries they were crispy and well seasoned and the staff was very polite and nice!

Ordered chicken soft bone which was meant to have 5 pieces of chicken. However the owner served me and only out 3 pieces of chicken. Make sure you check what they give you because they’ll rip you off! Cannot be trusted. Bad business! Will never come back again!

I think they must have dropped detergent into the fryer today. The chicken fillet had this unusual taste like detergent. Had to throw it out: (

With the famous reputation, I order the fried chicken however was met with huge disappointment. The coating of the chicken is no longer the same as its original recipe and is thick and sticks to your teeth. I am not sure how much quality control there is to align with the headquarter taste. However, I wouldn't aim to go back again unfortunately.

I tried ordering via Deliveroo 2 times in a row today both times waiting 15-20 minutes before cancelling because my order hadn't even been accepted by that point. I'd seriously advise your staff members to actually pay attention to the machine so they don't lose out on selling $35 worth of food to a customer who has been multiple times in the past and enjoyed the food thoroughly.

I'd you love your fried food you have to come down and try hot star. Make sure you try No. 1 on the menu, the original with some curly fried and mushrooms. Halal chicken makes it even better.

Slow service, expect at least 30-40mins wait for your order when it wasn't even that busy.

I've been consistently coming to this Hot Star franchise for years and I can confidently say that they sell the best fried chicken wings in Sydney! The seasoning is heavenly and unbeatable.

P. S. The eggplant is its best-kept secret- TO DIE FOR.

I've been buying original fried chicken from the place for the past couple years and I've never found a better place. Definitely recommend.

One of the guys that were serving me with the black super dry shirt gave me a bad attitude while i was ordering my food.

The young guy in back has terrible attitude. He put a lot of chilli and salt. If he thinks that’s the normal dose for seasoning, there must be something wrong with his brain. Also saw other people with similar comment. Why still keeping him as employee.

Please don't go and order here. You will have very bad experience. You can taste only crispy chewy flour things instead of chicken meat.
I had same menu at hotstar in Eastwood it was very delicious. But when I got this fake fried no meat chicken bone by ubereats at hotstar burwood, I was very upset after tasted it. Meat was like a paper and even no meat somewhere. Don't sell fried chicken bone (pretended fried chicken).

Today I bought mushrooms and it’s NOT GOOD
They put less than before, no crispy and it’s overcook

Gf was craving hot star but got debilitating food poisoning from their Large fried chicken. Dough is fried that has an unpleasant chewy uncooked layer underneath, chicken is unseasoned that comes in an exposed plastic bag, even via delivery.

This place got super amazing fried chicken! Best fried chicken shop in Sydney honestly even their chips, and other sides are amazing coz their food is super delicious u find the place always busy dont be hesitant in picking 'spicy ' option their food not that spicy

Got sick for a week from eating a piece of deep fried chicken never been back since they should have the health inspector check there food handling and and how clean the store is

There was no chilli mayo. No normal mayo. No sauce at all. I buy my hot star with sauce only from this branch because you always seem to forget to put the seasoning I ask for, but there was no sauce at all.hope my order tastes decent

Update: There was no curry powder added when asked for, however I do note that the worker did not understand English well and didn’t know what i was asking for, so it’s okay

I used to like this place a lot and always come here when I have time. However today was terrible, I asked for extra spicy original but end up getting only spicy. Also there was no salt added which makes it taste so plain. The worker does not understand English enough to serve tue customer.
