Hot Star Large Fried Chicken

I got an original chicken and 3 pc chicken wings and what we got was disappointing to say the least. The Chicken tasted bad and was a bit slimey. The wings smelled bad as well and I couldn't eat anything and had to throw it away. It looked like they were both frozen and very old before it was cooked.

I come here once a week, the best hot star around, when it comes to service, the quality of food, and the right amount of seasoning, this place ticks all the boxes. Anything you order here you’ll have no regrets, all taste awesome, and if you order a certain amount, you’ll get a free drink.whenever I come here I get friendliest service. Everyone needs to come and try it out.

If you are fried chicken lover you will love their chicken. Very unique recipe. I loved their chicken so much i have visited 4 time in last 8 days.

Food was delicious. Staff/customer service was very friendly. I felt very comfortable walking in. Food stayed hot even after the walk home and dealing with a 6 month old

The first try was bad my large fried chicken was only half the size and the taste was not great but the second time a few days ago was great. Keep it up

I had Hot Star for the first time - I got the Crispy Chicken Fillet with Spice and curly fries.

It was AMAZING! I am 100% coming back for another! The batter and spice mix is so good and the chick is still so juicy.

The curly fries had this unique taste - perhaps a vinegar or something was doused over (?) but they didn’t last long!

I think the stores are due for a refresh - they look a little derelict but don’t let it turn you away - I can see why it’s Taiwan’s #1 fried chicken.

I had chicken wings and hands down they are the best fried chicken wings I've ever had in my life so far. Super crispy and tasty I'm addicted to their chicken now

More of a 3.5 star. It’s been a while since I’ve tried the fried chicken. The first time I thought it was fantastic. Now it’s still nice but not as memorable as before. Food took a little longer than expected to be ready

Because after 7 o'clock pm they don't do family meals it was just to make money and I don't like it at campsie good service but not good enough for kids my kids love family meals I was going to order 7 family meals at hot star and hot star did very disappointed head no signing on the door at all to Do realise that's they only time family has a meals 7pm on ad a families like me hot star is not doing family meals at all that all I really was very disappointed and my kids a I'm not happy o left work to get my kids foo

I can't believe I pay 10$ for 3 pieces of soft bone, not even half full of the bag. Taste not bad but I will never come back here again.

I always have wings and ribs from here every once in a while. They are good enough to have cravings for.

Guys, I had an uber eats delivery and I am fairly disappointed to experience the smallest hotstar fried chicken I have ever received. It was the same size as the bag it came in. In my experience, it's usually larger than the bag. It was also bland and soggy. I did not realise that checking the "not spicy" option meant I was going to have zero seasoning. I have ordered from you before for the exact same order and it was great. What happened?

This is definitely one of the best chicken wings I ever had. Never knew Taiwanese chicken would be so tasty. Personal recommendation - whatever chicken you’re taking, ask them for very spicy option and it’d taste amazing! Happy eating

Every time I get allocated to work in Campsie, all I can think about is how excited I am to eat here. Crispy fried chicken is my favourite, but the original is great too. The star of the show though has got to be these sweet potato fries. Whatever seasoning you guys use is unreal, these are the best sweet potato fries I’ve had in my life. Big claim I know, but it’s true. Keep up the great work!

Super friendly staff and great chicken. The store could do with some deep cleaning or small renovation after years operating though.

You guys need to get containers for sauces! No one likes their fries or chicken covered in sauce in a paper bag.
The paper bag gets soggy and rips all over the food. Not pleasant.
But good taste good just fix the problem

So just when my friend informed me about the new entry on beamish Street, without any thought I head to this restaurant.
They are serving the deep fried chicken breast, with chips. The got halal chicken, the certificate is visible right in front of you. The seating capacity very limited so you gotta wait a bit.
I am not sure about the spices they’re using for the chicken are Halal or not Halal. So kindly confirm it first before you ask for extra spices/sauces on chips or chicken.
They need to mention about the chicken. If it is Hand slaughtered halal or Machine slaughtered halal.

Confused server unhelpful in answering questions and overcharged without confirmation of order. Chips and chicken seamed undercooked and both tasted of the same fake chemical flavoured salt. I was not offered sauce for the chips and had to ask for avalibility and cost (extra$1). Aftertaste is greasy, dusty MSG and poorly prepared. We were told that the second stool behind the counter was unavailable for use to my wife and I as this was a rule. So we took turns sitting on the one stool. All in all this experience was less than average. The cost for the product was exceptionally high. The shop was incredibly dirty.
Really upset buy this poor restaurant. We so looked forward to tge chicken. Never again.
