Hornsby Central Library reviews
33Very well set-up with a great blend of comfort, computer access and excellent catalogue of books. Makes it a pleasure to go to the library
Really well set out, lots of tables for students and rooms for group study. Clean and tidy, great facilities. Most importantly, a great range of resources for all ages.
The interior of Hornsby library was completely overhauled, for the better! It now is centred on a working area, where people can be productive, in a quiet environment. A richer variety of books were also included, such as for children or for audio.
Lots of books and magazines, but usually very crowded.one of the meployess helped me open my maccas juice, thoise things are impossible to open.
The interior design is so amazing, there's place for you to charge your laptop and phone, aesthetic seating designed for collaboration (round tables for 2-3 people, mini groups), great facilities, great aircon in summer, very amazing for a library in the Hornsby Council area.
Good facilities. Close proximity to station and shopping malls. Great space for studying and reading.
This review is to Hornsby Library Management. The library opening hours are not reasonable.either too late or too short.list the comparison for you. Everyday is a long queue for opening at 10: 00pm.

I couldn't find a computer with a scanner today (only 5 in total including the local studies section) (this is the central library after been closed for 2 years for an interior fitout). They never know when a JP is actually going to show up. The printing service is more expensive than retail (nearby). The library provides an important service to the community, fundamentally for reading and research. Free WiFi is not enough. They need to invest in good service and new books. Overall, lazy management.
Lots of books and resources to loan. Has group classes, computer ect. Staff are friendly. Has easy access from westfield or the car park behind the library.
Librarians are nice. Library is comfortable. I love this library.
圖書管理員很好。 圖書館很舒服。 我喜歡這個圖書館。
The recent renovations have vastly improved the library. It's usually a clean and productive space to be in with a great range of books and tables to study at.
The reason it's not getting 5 stars is because the Microsoft teams incoming call sound regularly gets plays throughout the library. I'm not sure if the librarians use it as some kind of signal or ring tone but, for some reason, that noise plays throughout the speakers every 5-10 minutes and has done so on all the dozens of times I've been here over the past year. It's not really noticeable at first but gets annoying for someone who's there regularly.
Great place, good reading atmosphere. Well presented. Howeverm books are very limited. Not many choices available. Staff very friendly.
One of the best libraries I have been to, its quiet, clean, and has enough space for everyone, The staff is super friendly and nice.
They recently rebuild the whole library and it now looks like a multi-million dollar head office of a top notch company. I go there whenever I need some peace of mind and want to get some serious work done.
The renewal looks great, loads of different things to borrow and play with. Great areas for quite study. Staff very friendly
The renovations are amazing! So many different functional areas to read, relax, study and even work "from home"
A lot of people say that there are too many students at the library etc.but in a way, it's not the library's fault. They have really friendly staff and you can borrow and return books really easily. There are plenty of seats everywhere and they have many, many books to choose from. I honestly wish that the kids got to borrow a few more PRC books per card (especially because of COVID) but apart from that, Hornsby Library is a wonderful place to study, borrow books, return books, and just read in a generally calm environment. I would definitely recommend this library:)
Hornsby Central Library is an absolute delight to visit - roomy, well-appointed, & bright. The facilities are excellent for students, browsers, borrowers. My favourite is the multitude of actual AND audiobooks of the most recently published popular titles. The librarians are so helpful too!
So good to have the library open again.
The renovations gave transformed it - great ergonomic layout which flows really well and gives the space a lovely warm & positive vibe.
The staff, as always are ever helpful - wonderful!
Kudos to all stakeholders - you done good.
New and improved after recent refurbishments Hornsby library is an airy, welcoming and relaxing space. Huge collection of books and media available. The space hlitself includes many comfy seats/lounges and desks for people to read and study at their leisure. Kids section is absolutely fantastic with a huge selection of books that cater to every age level.
Hornsby Library are simply super stars. Excellent customer service from everyone at the team. Thank you for allowing me to keep reading during lockdown!
