Hornsby Aquatic and Leisure Centre reviews
55The outside lanes are so cold when you jump in especially for children. So it would be very good if you implemented some heater thing especially during winter or autumn because swimming there with no exercise gives you hypothermia.
Nice aquatic centre. Indoor pools and kids splash area very good though for some odd reason they WAY overheat the room. Gym is basic but ok. Staff very friendly.
Great place for a relaxed swim. Most of the lifeguards are pretty chill. The outdoor heated pool rarely gets that busy. 3 hours free parking underground. The waterslide isn’t open all the time though.
Great place for learning to swim and as a leisure for the whole family. It has his own car park underground. Next to Hornsby Park which has a little playground and close to the shops.
Being a public place, it is well managed and lives up to industry quality and facilities standards. It is relatively new so time will tell if the standards are maintained over the course of time but for the moment it is a great place. The only downside being it is too crowded (which is why the 4 stars) as they not only have swimming lessons but there is a reasonably sized water play area for kids.
Good place to get kids swimming lessons. Many coaches with different teaching style. You can also change your coach if your kids can't cope with the lessons. This centre also provides once per day lessons during school holidays which I think kids would improve their swimming skills much faster than once per week. The adults swimming class sounds good too. I would like to join when kids are old enough to change their own clothes.
Nice place to have some fun with the family. Can get quite busy at peek times. Offers lane swimming outdoors, swimming lessons. Has a small gym and aerobics class.
Lovely pool for all ages. Water is clean, comfortable temperature for young kids. Change room and shower (great warm water) are maintained well. Easy parking near around.
It's a nice enough pool but you are completely excluded from using it while swimming carnivals are on. So for two months of the year, Mondays to Fridays during the hottest part of the day you can't use the outside pool, but then they also shut the inside pool during those same times. Leave the general public *something*! I won't be buying a multi visit pass again.
Generally very clean pools, outdoor lap pool. Inside kiddies pool with splash toys. Indoor lap training pool and a slide that's sometimes open.
Great facilities for kids and a kiosk to unwind while they splash around and have fun! Both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool with exciting water slide.swimming lessons available too.not very clean, though.hairballs all around bathrooms and accidents (although infrequent) in swimming pools.swimming lessons are high quality for low prices.nice place!
Great pools - there’s something for everyone from the toddlers play area, kids’ swimming pool and the outdoor one, along with a gym. The swimming instructors are also great, most of them are friendly. Bathrooms are surprisingly very clean.
Nice pools, and an interesting small but functional gym. Good value if you do swim and workouts and don't want to pay for two subscriptions. I wish it can stay open for a big longer though.
It is a nice place for everyone to enjoy. The leisure poor has some facilities to entertain the kids and can be very busy during weekends. The outside pool is nice and well maintained. The centre has two family/disabled shower, which is family friendly. Love going there.
One of the best aquatic centres around. Good for both family fun and lap swimming. The only downside is that it is getting a bit crowded with the population increase in Hornsby. Time for the council to plan for extension or alternatives.
Beautiful outdoor and indoor recreation Park for swimming and also there is a small gym.
And beautifully back dropped by local bushland.
Very family friendly community oriented.
The centre is great. The whole family can enjoy. Nice and professional staff. The only issue is the cafe. Really limited food options. Like 2 or 3 which makes it hard to have snacks there
The outdoor 50m pool is clear and sunny. They're is a carpark downstairs. Indoors are various kids areas. The change rooms are clean and the floor is relatively dry.
Great heated indoor pool area for kids, short heated lap pool, 50m pool outdoors. Amenities etc well looked after.
Let's see if the score improves when the renovations finish They've been taking a while, so they've had every chance
