Fantastic shop. Excellent customer service at Bathurst store. Lovely homewares, lounges, bedroom suites, dinning suites etc.

I Strongly Suggest No One get involved with this unscrupulous Company Their policy of NO REFUNDS IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND AND NO STORE CREDIT FOR THE 30% DEPOSIT YOU PAY should be on the invoice or on the front Desk at the point of sale once processed they give you a booklet at at the very back in fine print it states that your will forfeit your deposit of 30% something this important should be made known by the sales imployee if this was the case they would have no customers buying we asked for store Credit this is also rejected so we debated and negotiated at this stage we still hadn't taken any products out of the store by the way all through this we asked to speak to the manager and no one could tell us who that is so I think they have changed their minds they said you need to spend the same amount of they purchase price we have only paid a 30% deposit for a item that would be in store in a week's time for us to pickup so I said cancell the order the next day before it leaves the warehouse once they heard this the item miraculously turns up and they said we cannot send back the employees look like they are pressured into getting sales because the sales person said if you accept know I will give a $200.00 off the price knowing you will not get your deposit back if you change your mind when you havnt received the goods this Company Goes out of their way NOT to give customer satisfaction They force you to make another purchase or you will lose your deposit of 30% Very dishonest Company and Employees have to sell under these conditions if you have no morals this may not be a problem

I do not have a good word about this company. Back in October 2019 I paid $639 for a balmoral tv unit at Orange store but unfortunately they did not have the one in their store so staff rang around and Bathurst was only store with one. They said it would be delivered to orange store within a few days. I then organised for my own courier to pick up as I was going to be away for a week. The courier rang me a few days later to say store was closed. I contacted Bathurst and she advised my unit was ok and could get it once dispute resolved. Store folded and unit sent back to Bathurst by their company. Unit was then delivered by their company but upon opening had huge crack about 2 foot long on top and doors weren’t closing properly. I contacted Bathurst and was told to take photos and she would send to head office. I did not want it replaced or repaired but a full refund and asked her to send their courier to collect it. I did not pay for a damaged unit. During this whole process nobody has once contacted me let alone head office. I have had to ring every time but kept getting told matter in hands of head office. No one would ever give me head office phone number. Odd? I eventually took matter to Fair Trading only to be told that Home Sweet Home ignored any correspondence and did not have courtesy to respond. What sort of business are you running. You have had my money since October 2019.isn’t that fraud. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY EVER. At no time did I ever use couriers.the company used theirs. Shame, shame, shame Home Sweet Home. All I want is my money back.

Great range of furniture but unfortunately very poor customer service.

Bought a couch towards the end of June and told they would have it in their store by the end of the month. It did not arrive. No surprise as that would have taken less than a week to do so. I called mid July and was promised that we would have it by the end of July. When we were never contacted and August came around I contacted them again. Again it was promised to us by the end of August.
Finally got a phone call one Sunday towards the end of August saying that it would be delivered to our house that Wednesday. They could not say when, so I took the day off work. When 3pm rolled around and I had heard nothing I contacted the store. I was told they knew nothing about my couch delivery and was told they would call me back. An hour later I got a phone call saying the delivery guys "forgot" to put it on the truck and it would be delivered the next Wednesday. When I asked if I could have a rough delivery time, I was told she didnt know what time. I said I couldnt afford to take another day off to wait for delivery and was told it wasn't her problem I took the day off, was told we had no other choice when they could deliver it and was hung up on.

When the couch arrived its honestly fantastic but I would actively avoid this store for all furture purchases and advise against them.

Great selection purchased a beautiful dining table the other day excellent customer service from the lady who assisted me would highly recommend went in last week early Nov 2020 so much new rugs painting and new furniture so lovely

I had a awesome customer service experience with bathurst store manager Kieran this week.
She is so friendly, bubbly, helpful over the phone and in store, reliable and delivers on her word ie getting back to me when she said she would (rare these days in retail).
She has the best customer service I’ve had in the bathurst home sweet home store in a few years. I will definately be back to buy from bathurst store again because of Kierans customer service.
I wanted to directly thank Kieran for being an amazing asset to the Home Sweet Home business and an asset to the Bathurst store.

Was sold what I was told was a can of protectant in a box of fabric cleaner and protectors. Sprayed it on my lounge and it turned out to be wood oil. Took the box back and asked for a refund which I was informed that they don’t do refunds but when I checked their online policy, they do within 24 hours. Lounge now ruined.

Went to the Kelso Store recently to purchase 5 piece for a kitchen renovation. The discount was 30% at the time so I asked if they could hold the stock till August, I was told NO because they had no room but I could lay-by the same 5 items at 15% discount till August.
Funny how they had the room at 15% but not 30% discount. Really sales person do you not see the stupidity of your own statement. You lost more than that sale you lost dinning and lounge sales as well. I suggest you think your reply through thoroughly next time. Will not return, pity furniture was nice, that particular sales person sucked.

Very disappoint think twice before doing business with this company paid a deposit for a lounge on 30th april with an ETA of end of june, checked mid june and told now early july, just recd a phone call cant be delivered for another 2 months (no guarantee!) offered old floor stock instead! If you have to buy from this company leave only a small deposit. Will not refund deposit their shipping delay is some how our problem!

My husband and l wasnt happy with the lady that served us just recently. We were interested in some furniture to purchase, but she wasnt friendly, helpful or interested in making a sale.
So we walked out the door and made a phone enquiry with another Home sweet home outlet.
They made the deal and they got a instant phone sale. So this lady lost a good sale.
For someone who is learning to be a store manager she has alot to learn in customer service.
Also not good of her to contact the other outlet that we will be contacting them about the furniture we like to purchase. Not nice, its a small world.
