Today I had a move done by these guys and Paul and Daniel were top shelf! I’ve done many moves both locally and interstate and these guys were fast, efficient, lovely and caring of my belongings. The best part I wasn’t even there to supervise any of it due to work, but they showed me their professionalism by being outstanding to deal with and I am so thankful for what they’ve done! If I could give 10 stars I would.thanks Holloway for making the moving experience seamless for me and Paul and Daniel for making it worryfree

Great service. Strong guys got all my heavy awkward sized things down the stairs with no problems. Even disassembled my bed for me. They were friendly and professional. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience with Paul and Dan. We moved from Marrickville to shell cove and not only did they get the truck through our narrow street in Marrickville but they got everything into the truck. The truck was strategically packs from bottom to top (literally) and completely full.
I was amazed at Paul and Dan's skill in packing the truck. Nothing was left behind.

They beat us to the new property (even more amazed), and unpacked the truck in a quick and easy manner. Nothing was too hard.

Really nice guys and worked very hard.
We didn't feel like any time was wasted and all our belongings were as they were when we left the old property.

By far the best experience we have had moving. We move alot for work.

Thanks Paul and Dan for making our move as painless as possible and being so nice to work with.

Had a very complicated and stressful job that could have easily been a complete nightmare.

Paul from Holloway made the entire experience through his clear communication and problem solving, way easier for me.

Would recommend the business based on Paul alone.

Do not us this company! Talk to someone on the phone they said Dood to door delivery my house was not ready at the time they said no problem they can put my stuff in there storage facility. Then when my house is ready they well take it there just have to pay for storage. I said ok great once my house was ready I call they and they said it was going to be 1,500 more on top of my door-to-door delivery! Now they are trying to charge my card with out my consent after I paid them in FULL to get my stuff 10 weeks ago. Yesterday they trying to charge me again!
everything they say is a straight lie!

Paul and Daniel helped me move a short distance but with tricky access. They made the whole experience seem carefree and easy, they worked exceptionally hard and never faulted in professionalism, care for my belongings and really cared about doing the best job. They were a massive 10/10 and made my moving experience 100% easier. 100/10 would recommend and use this team from Holloway again.

Used Holloway this week to move and store a couch. One of the two guys was inexperienced and unable to do the job competently. The guy dropped the couch multiple times. It’s been 2 days since the furniture was moved and no one from Holloway has found the time to respond to my emails about the poor service. Definitely wouldn’t recommend them to move anything of value.

Update 24 June 2022
Had some of the furniture that was in storage returned today Couch was damaged, two book cabinets had large gouges down the sides, a cupboard had the face of it chipped and an uplift shade smashed. If you value your possessions I strongly recommend you find someone else to move and store your valuables.

Update 5 November 2022
Had remainder of furniture taken out of storage recently. All sides of 2 bookcases scratched from top to bottom, small bookshelf top smashed. Boxes containing CDs / cases crushed and smashed. Don’t use these guys if yob have anything of value.

I’d definitely recommend using Holloway removals. From the point of booking, Adrian was great to deal with. We had to reschedule our move as our settlement was delayed and Adrian handled all the detail on their side, making it pleasantly easy to deal with!

On the day our movers, Paul and Daniel were incredibly professional, communicative and meticulous. As we all know, moving can be stressful but they were friendly, making jokes and very respectful of our belongings. They placed everything neatly, even the bed was placed in order of how it was going to be reassembled.

They were on time to begin the job and all the way through the Holloway team at head office and customer support were checking in to ensure everything was going as planned. Thanks for making the move a success!

Disclaimer: I have left this review on their numerous different listings because I feel it’s valuable info for other customers to know prior to moving with Holloway. Do not let them handle any electronic equipment, especially TVs.

I originally left a very favourable review because María and her colleague were *amazing* helping me with the pre-packing of everything (I don't think I've met friendlier people). Both removalists on the day were amazing and efficient moving everything to the new apartment. They were friendly, diligent, and extremely careful with everything – at least when carrying the items.

However, there seems to be a pattern of only giving you a part of the information you need. During the initial enquiry about their pre-packing service, I was given an hourly rate plus a flat fee per small box and large box packed. At no point was there any mention that I'd have to pay additionally for bubble wrap (which they waived in the end as they hardly used any), a wholesale pack of butcher paper of which 80% is left over, sticky tape, etc. I understand that these things don't come for free, but I was 100% under the impression this was included in the flat hourly and per box rate that I was quoted. It wasn't a huge amount but still unexpected. Moreover, their website states that they “have the necessary equipment, vehicles, premises and staff training needed to complete a professional move and covers transit insurance and public liability. ” A day prior to the move I received an email from their salesperson saying, ‘As discussed, $5000 declared value = $125 for full cover Insurance’, when, in fact, nothing had been discussed. I called and asked what this was about and was told that transit insurance only actually means that your items are insured while the truck is on the move and not when it’s being loaded or unloaded or when any of the items are being carried. It turns out later, that *actually* you’re only covered in the case of the truck falling over, catching fire, or being stolen during the move which is discreetly hidden away with an asterisk and grey font in one of their replies. This might be a legal limitation of what can be covered; regardless, their website is misleading customers that haven’t used professional moving companies before. When you move with Holloway, unless you pay $125 per $5,000 insured value of your items, you’re running the risk of losing it all.

A day after the move I finally managed to unpack everything and wanted to plug in my TV only to discover that the power cord was missing. This was unplugged by the movers on the day but after speaking with them it still wasn’t anywhere to be found.

Once the replacement cord arrived, I plugged it in only to find out that the TV screen had been damaged – this wasn’t visible on the outside, it’s internal damage. I called Holloway and was immediately met with a ‘yeah that’s not going to be covered anywhere. If there’s no external damage, you can’t prove the TV was working prior to us moving it. ’ Which is correct, and I understand the situation they’re in. However, the fact that the cord is the only missing item from the entire move means I can’t test the TV until I have a replacement – convenient. A few hours later I received an email from Holloway offering $200 as a gesture which I accepted knowing this wouldn’t have gone any further.

The moral of this story is, pick a removalist that packs your TV (or other electronic devices) into proper moving boxes as they’re not covered by insurance, and no one will take responsibility. I had advised Holloway that they’ll have to move a TV, their packing team-members saw the TV the day before too. When I questioned now why they didn’t use a professional box I was told they never do and they’d only throw a blanket over it. I paid $1,460 to move and pack up studio apartment, $42 for a replacement cord, am now $590 out of pocket for the TV (after applying their partial refund), the TV can’t be fixed, and I have to organise for it to be disposed of too. Not the most expensive TV by any means but still.

Bruce and David did a great job returning my furniture and boxes from storage and putting my furniture back together. On the day it was pouring with rain but they were true professionals and went above and beyond with cleaning their shoes and looking after my carpet. They were friendly, polite and treated me and my belongings with care and respect. I would definitely use Holloway again.

The gentlemen who moved us were great, very professional and managed to move everything we needed. We have a large table which originally wouldn't fit through the door, they removed the door to make the table fit.

The overall price was very high, later to find out we were charged an extra fee per hour for booking close to our move date.

The best moving experience we've ever had! We invested in the full packing and unpacking service in addition to the move. It saved us days of stress and time and everyone was professional, calm and polite. Maria, Giu and Letitia did a fantastic job of packing and unpacking. Bruce & David were amazing movers. They worked tirelessly with no fuss and really took care of everything. We will recommend Holloway to friends and use them again.

I've used Holloway twice before and had good experiences, but the third experience was very disappointing as 2 movers took 5 hours to move a one bedroom apartment over a 4km distance, which ended up costing me over a thousand dollars.

I didn't have anything very heavy or bulky, there was no fridge, just one washing machine, and there were lifts and access to garages and loading docks in both apartments. In the end, I told the movers to place all the boxes outside the new apartment and I moved them inside myself. I also moved some of the items myself in my car.

The movers seemed to be quite keen to start the clock and were moving at a reasonable pace at the beginning but slowed down significantly soon after and took their time.

The previous 2 moves with Holloway only cost around $500 to move the same amount of 1 bedroom furniture. I won't be using Holloway again, as the cost does not justify the effort on my part for a small 1 bedroom move.

I understand that another customer's move that was booked in that same morning got cancelled, so they wanted to make some extra money, but I don't think it's fair that I had to subsidise someone else's decision to cancel their move.

We had such an amazing experience with Paul & Andy. They were efficient, professional and really made the whole removal process so easy for us. Highly recommend Paul & Andy, I will definitely be using them again!

Very slow, took all day to move not much and not far. They were really good last time, but we had a very different experience this time.
