Holiday Inn Express Sydney Airport, an IHG Hotel reviews
21Great for resting after a long haul flight 5mins from the airport shuttle cost 12 dollars taxi was 20 dollars
Great location near the airport and walking distance to restaurants and the train station. Very friendly staff and a good breakfast!
Good rooms and good breakfast. What you hope (expect) from airport hotel. We gave it 5 stars as they allowed early check in at 9.30am.
It's a 15-minute walk from the hotel, and public transportation is inconvenient.
The room is really small
Children's breakfast is free
Nice hotel close to Sydney Airport.
Facilities are modern and clean. Not to much disturbance/noise from the airport.
Breakfast hours could improve, opens 06: 30. Our flight left early and we didn't get info on breakfast box to go.
Would choose to stay here again anytime.
Please do not stay in this hotel if you have young kids. We only stayed for one night and with a toddler and one special needs child. To our surprise we were threatened that we will be thrown out and police will be called if kid’s didn’t sleep or stop playing. We explained about child’s situation but we were told it’s our issue how we make sure they are asleep quickly. How on earth can you behave like this? May be try to improve sound proofing arrangements in your paper thin walls or provide a disclaimer during your booking that don’t book if you have young/special needs kids. Extremely stressful night which ruined our trip. Please never book with them or have your medications ready to put your kids to forcefully fall asleep. Disgusting behaviour of hotel manager on duty.
Brilliant location, awesome staff, rooms are perfect sized for the FiFO stay and a descent breakfast. Definitely will stay again
Holiday Inn Express Sydney Airport is located just off the airport, SYD, in the town of Mascot. There is a 3rd party bus service from the airport for $7. Alternatively, you can take the lokal train from the airport towards the city and get off at Mascot station, and from there, it is a 10-minute walk. The hotel also offers parking onsite for $40 a night, although there are width and height restrictions as you need to take the car elevator to the parking. The lobby is on the first floor, which is also the breakfast area and communal seating. On the 2nd floor is a small gym and the self laundry. The rooms are well planned and nice. A good budget hotel for exploring Sydney, especially considering the train to downtown, only takes 10 minutes.
Rooms are very cramped. Bathroom door doubles as the shower door providing very little privacy, or soundproofing which made using the toilet awkward at times when sharing a room with 4 people.
Was great close to shops too crowded in the morning for breakfast, staff could not keep up with people tables with dirty dishes everywhere, no food for breakfast
We were pooped when we came here. Bed so comfy and the shower, is the best I've had for awhile. Being 188cm tall is a bit of an ask for some hotel showers, but not here. A buffet Breakfast was included and it was well presented. Taxi pickup out the front on leaving was prompt. A good place for we weary senior citizens.
We stayed out last night in Sydney before an International Flight. A very nicely designed newish hotel. Large free breakfast but tables were cleared very slowly and caused people to have to clear their own tables. Do not be tempted to walk to the terminal. Take an UBER as it will be faster and the small amount it will cost will much appreciated.
Great location, this hotel is within walking distance to the domestic terminal. The room was perfect for a long layover. Just need a place to drop your bags and explore. The room was well appointed and clean. And they had blackout curtains!
The staff is very friendly and had a grab and go breakfast ready early for those who have flights to catch.
The shuttle to the airport international terminal is easy to take from here, it does cost, or you can walk back to the domestic terminal and take the free shuttle.
I loved everything except the attitude of the front desk lady (I assume she was the french). When I check in I bear with her attitude but check out was the worst. I gave her room key then she took it, she was on the phone for 5 minutes I kept waiting another front desk lady saw me I kept waiting for that french lady to hang up the phone, she wanted to help. When I tried to take my room card back from the French lady, she said already checked out.oh wow so if you already checked out then why u kept asking me to wait and hearing your phone conversation for 5 minutes? Insane experience. Other than that front desk lady, breakfast and room were all nice and good.
Stayed a couple of nights. Conveniently located near the airport. The on site restaurant facilities are good however we decided to UberEat which was delivered promptly.
A lovely place to come and stay for awhile, with easy access to the surrounding areas and train station to the city. The staff here are fantastic going above and beyond to assist you in any need.
I’ve stayed at multiple Holiday Inns and had great experiences, this one however was shockingly terrible. Staff member who checked us in was rude and condescending on, room was very tiny, breakfast was served an hour late and everyone had to leave to catch flights. Would not recommend this Holiday Inn
Had to pay more more than the cost of the room for making 3 local calls to reschedule my flight and no notification from reception that local calls are being charged.
My flight was cancelled and had to stay overnight. Very clean and convenient. Breakfast included and very yummy. Shuttle to the airport for $10, convenient.
Location was ok
Room are comfortable
BUT!
Our room on 2nd floor
Cook breakfast smells star from 6 am
Whole room smells like hash brown Oily smells
