Holbrook Bakery reviews
57Tastiest pie I've ever eaten! Do your self a favour & stop into Holbrook for a treat. Hubby raved about his Steak & Mushroom pie full of tender meat with tasty mushrooms & hot to bite into, something rare. I had the Country Chicken pie full of chicken pieces & the most delicious filling Tasty pastry & doesn't fall apart, plus we finally found an Apple turnover without cream! Amazingly good
Big breakfast was very good as were the wedges. The French vanilla slice was pretty good too. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will stop here again on our travels.
Wow were do I start. The burger with the works was spectacular. You have to stop in here @ Holbrook Bakery for a rest and recharge. Thanks Again we will stop by again sometime soon ;-)
Great coffee (rather AWESOME COFFEE), good portion size of food, quick & friendly service. Definitely worth the little detour from the Hume
Bacon and egg roll worth diverting off the highway for. Service above and beyond. Clean toilets a plus.
These guys are great! Staff are so professional and friendly. Was consistently busy while we were there but they served everyone efficiently and got through the line quickly. Really impressed with the coffee and food.
Excellent pies - worth stopping by for one - and the cream slices are a hit judging by all the reviews posted up on the wall…
Absolutely beautiful great country bakery.
Highly recommend. Beautiful and fresh. Lovely coffee too. Service fabulous.
This place is great. Fantastic pies and great coffee. They've even opened up a new outlet in the servo just over the bridge.
Such a refreshing stopover while returning from Sydney to Melbourne. Great baked treats and very fresh. Buy food here and have a picnic near the submarine.
The service, food and atmosphere are great. Highly recommend the cheese and bacon pie and the sweet chilli chicken wrap.
Stopped for lunch. Asked for roasted beef and salad roll and apricot turnover. Got two pieces of cheap $1 bread instead of a nice bun like on a display. They put lots of cream into turnover even if we didn’t ask for it. Staff is rude and acting like they don’t listen or have no time to listen. Food is ok. Just ok. Nothing particular. Cannot understand what this hype is all about.
Very busy after Boxing Day, queue moved quickly. Good array of foods. We sampled snausage roll and apple scroll and experienced a feeling of contentment. Coffee noice also ta
We always stop here when driving on the Hume. Great old school bakery with all the classics. Great sandwiches, baked treats, and coffee!
By far the best bakery between Melbourne and Sydney. I stop every time I drive between the cities (a few times a year) and always get a bacon/egg roll, drink, sweet treat for later.
Amazing value for money. Got a chicken snitzel burger and it was HUGE. Fed two people with scraps for the dog and was delicious.
Very busy bakery with full bread, pie and cake range for sale. Family sized cakes and sweet pies to take home. Clean seating area. Teas, coffees and cold drinks for sale. Real cream in tasty chocolate eclairs.
Omg love this place never disappointed. Friendly service good food justifies the price. Jumbuck cake lovely had to go back for a second one 2 weeks later on return trip. Variety of meals and good value.
We dropped in on our journey and had a delicious breakfast, and the coffee was lovely as well. Definitely worth a stop.
This is a must “pop in” at the halfway mark to Sydney. Just off the Hume, it has the best coffee, sandwiches, wraps, breads, bacon & egg rolls, pies, pastes, sausage rolls sweet treats etc.etc plus a selection of preserves, that vary each visit but you could find a range of gourmet sauces, preserves prunes, pickles and relishes. There are also lovely artworks hanging in the dining area, which are for sale. Lastly, the staff are friendly, efficient and have amazing memories.
