Maria and Justin are the most genuine, caring and knowledgeable instructors. We have had the pleasure of attending weekly lessons at their beautiful property for my 10 year old daughter and myself, both complete beginners.
They have been caring, kind and patient with us, giving us a fantastic introduction to the horse world. Their horses are all beautiful and very well looked after. You can see the love they have for their horses and their passion to teach. We love Hinterland Horses so much that we also recently organised a pony party with them. We had friends travel as far from Brisbane and they are all still raving about the wonderful day.
Beyond our lessons, Maria has been kindly guiding us with looking for our first horse. She goes above and beyond, providing advice and recommendations. It is very rare to find such genuine and caring people in this industry and they truly are one of a kind.
I entrust them with teaching my daughter and they have given her such a joyful and fun experience. 5 stars!

We recently had our daughters Birthday at Hinterland Horses and it was amazing! All the extras that were not expected created such a fantastic day. The kids dressups and toys, the walk through fairy garden and fun party games were a big hit with the kids and kept them entertained when waiting for their pony rides.
The location and Ponies were beautiful.
Justin and Maria are lovely hosts, they put a lot of thought and care into the day.

I recently visited Hinterland Horses and was so impressed with the beautiful and magical environment created. The horses and ponies are so well cared for and clearly both horses and humans love what they do here. I would absolutely recommend Hinterland Horses to anyone young or old. The pony parties are just so well thought out any child would be thrilled with the experience, as someone on the other end of the age scale I was made to feel safe and confident and after not riding in more than 10 yrs I had the best ride! We had a Pony Party at Hinterland Horses for our Daughter’s 3rd birthday and it was the most beautiful morning. The pony rides of course were a big hit, but Maria & Justin had so many other touches which made it extra special like a little treasure hunt in the fairy forrest, a horsey piñata which the kiddies loved and lots of pony themed toys which a little to our surprise the kids were really drawn too! Justin was a pleasure to communicate with from start to finish & nothing was too much trouble. Highly, highly recommend Hinterland Horses if you’re wanting a little extra something special for a party!

We had a wonderful experience at Hinterland Horses. Thalia hasn’t hopped on a horse in a few years and Justin and Maria made her feel comfortable and safe with climbing back on one again. They were unbelievably accommodating, patient and very kindhearted. We couldn’t recommend these guys enough. The property is beautiful, we had a lovely stroll through the fairy garden finding treats, and was able to dress up one of their little ponies. We had such a fun time, and cannot wait to come back again soon. Thank you for a beautiful experience and for sharing your cheeky, but loving animals with us.

The best horse riding experience, with an amazing well presented garden and beautiful surroundings. Very well tempered horses with beautiful nature. Highly recommend this wonderful experience, it’s a must!

We did a coulpe’s shoot with the horse and it was an amazing experience. Justin organised the horses for us on time and we enjoyed the beautiful property as well.

We had the most wonderful ride with Justin and his wife. They cater perfectly for different levels of experience and have gentle and beautiful horses and ponies to match.
We will definitely be back again with your boys, this trip was Mums only but is so perfect for the kids.

We came here on our first day in Byron Bay and our girls (aged 6 and 8 yrs old) are asking if they can come back every day! You won't meet nicer and more accomdating hosts, Maria and Justin. We had a wonderful time on their gorgeous and clean property, our girls thoroughly enjoyed their pony rides and walk through the fairy garden. Would recommend this to everyone. Absolutely gorgeous way to spend the morning having special time with my daughter. Marie and Justin were so amazing! We walked on horseback through a beautiful fairy garden and the horses were calm and beautiful. It was just lovely!
