Hinkler Park reviews
17These facilities are really like those parks in Hong Kong in the past, and the memories are coming back
Toilets locked
Terrible inconvenience to have to clean poo off heated leather seats.
Jokes it was a close call for a code brown though.
An beautiful place to walk your dogs and for families to come and enjoy. But in saying this the park facilities need upgrading and the gardens also need to be improved to make the park a beautiful place to enjoy.
I don't expect lots in parks except an easy place to stop with bathrooms. This ticks it all for me. Kids can use their imagination!
This was a little random park we stopped at to have some food we bought.
It was a little cool as the sun moved away, but they had toilets in the park for female, and just been beside the park for males.
My son met some other kids, they had fun together and played on the swings, plane from the pic here and some pipes for climbing throught and over.
There were picnic tables for food and plenty to do while the kids played together.
A nice random place to chill and eat.
Great spot to stop with kids, swings playground and toilets, lots of grassy area. Only problem is there's a road through the middle of it.
Nice quiet playground with a unique plane shaped climbing frame and old school swings with really long chains which let you swing much higher.
"Higher, " she yelled. With the tallest swing (about 5 metres with a long chain) she flew. Which is good for a park named after an early Australian aviator. Sit under the old trees, let the kids climb, swing, imagine flying, or just daydream. Great for picnics and long afternoons. You won't be sad visiting this small pocket park, just down the hill from Katoomba.
Me and my partner walked past this lovely little park (when we were on our way to 3 sisters) and a very friendly local lady recommended us to go in to sit for a bit since it was very hot day, god bless the man & woman who planted those trees! Appreciate whoever in charge of maintaining it as well:) please keep up your good work.
Great place to find rotting baby carcasses i love coming here and finding another freak of nature mutated amputee dead in the bathrooms the other week having a funny time in the stall that was also a great place for the boys to come down and gang ra*e kids
Great young family park close to town. Swings slide hill tunnel hidden bush tracks tree branch climbing. Must do: tell your kids not to hit their head on the propeller then comfort them when they hit their head anyway. Shelter with picnic tables. Yucky tasting bubbler - take your own water. Public toilets. Fish and chips & sushi train do takeaway - they're on Katoomba St just up from Waratah cross street. Closest half decent coffee: Cassiopeia.
Looking for a quiet park to spend time with the kids then this is it. Built in 1934 but kept modern and neat this is a fabulous place to play or rest. Numerous swings will keep the kids busy as will the model biplane. Clean and neat toilets are also available with a nearby sheltered picnic table. Lots of sade trees and lush grass top off this great park.
Good little park for the kiddos to burn off some of that never ending energy before the drive home.
I conducted an important conference call in this park. There was an impressive metal plane skeleton and MANY teenagers. I get it, I was once a youngster also.
It was ok the model planes were very good for the grandchildren to play on. Other than that nothing special.
Could do with some updated equipment like all the parks in katoomba.and a decent fence for safety
Nice little park for young kids. I did have to clear the remains of one broken bottle but otherwise clean and the swings were a bit!
