Hills Basketball Association reviews
23 Good area and facilities for kids sports
Plenty parking
Nice and friendly staffs
My son loved it! Very professional training sessions. Highly recommend sending your kids here!
Well managed and great complex. The canteen has good variety for a quick in between snack and reasonably priced.
Parking gets quite busy, although parents are usually quite good to leave straight after their games to allow the next lot to park.
Facilities are fine.
One less star as I consistently see my kid being hurt/injured by other kids. I am not sure if coaches can watch out or players are expected to be rough.
Due to the location and access through a narrow road, traffic jam is caused.
Professional, modern, & inviting absolutely nothing to be critical of
Loved it great environment for the community to be apart of
Best venue. Excellent facilities. Loved the games with our team. Ample parking space and easy accessibility. Enjoy the game!
Went to the courts and was told I wasn't allowed to play soccer but they where nice and gave me a basketball in which i began dropping triple doubles regularly. But the suiiiiperviosrs are nice and management are good as well, and the refs are nice
I am very disappointed and upset by the behaviour of some of the staff member’s of Hill’s Hornets. I see that there are lot of favouritism going on in the club which I have been ignoring because I don’t want to upset my boys.
My sons have been part of this association for years. But just recently the behaviour of a staff member just broke my heart and I am very angry and disappointed by his actions. The way he behaved was very unprofessional and rude.
A local not-for-profit sporting association with a money making mentality. Profits before people.
According to the CEO himself Hills Basketball Association is proud to ‘have built a solid financial position over a number of years. ’ Which means they’ve got a bank account with plenty of $$$$$ in it that enables them to recommission a sports complex whenever they feel like it.
HBA are in this position because they overcharge everyone for everything all the time. And once they’ve got your money they won’t be giving it back. Even when you’re rightly entitled to a refund.
On a positive note, when they are swept, and the roof isn’t leaking, the courts are pretty good.
****MY RESPONSE:
Spare me.
Rep fees for 2021 season: $630.
Half of 2021 season cancelled.
$630/2 = $315 refund for the basketball I did not play.
But that logic is entirely unreasonable thus wasn't factored into your 2 month deliberation on the matter.
The facility is great although some of the rims are a bit crooked some of the staff may be a little angry at some points. The worst parts of this facility are the refs they hire anyone they see i feel like they do not have the proper practice as finding a good ref in this facility is a really rare occasion i am disappointed by this
Played summer and winter comps here while I was in highschool, hopefully once this whole lockdown situation passes I can start playing there again.
Also their new courts are awesome, can't wait to play there again!
A great basketball association that has helped many kids enjoy playing the game. Keep up the awesome work.
Follow the check-in rules for COVID Safe, and you will ok.
EDIT: I did say that the COVID checkin QR code was very small. However they have now updated the QR Code to the NSW Government one, and have plenty of clear easy to scan posters around the venue - good work!
Great facility, well run leagues, trainings are a bit of repeat /average especially if your kid is well versed with basics of Basketball.
Great basketball stadium high quality flooring and glass backboards. Also well run junior and senior programs.
The location is very popular, the demand is far exceed the offer. This is the main reason why the management does not care for their existing "client". If you want your kids to have a consistent training, this is not the place to go. The re enrollment system is like a competition, you will be lucky to secure a spot for your kid if you "fight" for it! The training quality is normal, nothing special to stand out from others club.
My 2 adult daughters attended here during primary and high school years.
I have now brought my 11 year old daughter for the last 5 years.
They love basketball. Hills Hornets has provided them with a strong skills base to play confidently as a valuable team member.
Coaches are fun, interactive, patience and educational.
Office staff are very helpful. Onsite canteen is great for mums to have a coffee and snack. Kids always look forward to something from the canteen.
Toilets, grandstand and stadium are always kept clean.
The 2 new state of the art stadium courts toilets, office and training rooms are exceptional!
The roads aren't the best and the traffic control isn't that good. Otherwise the stadium is good
One of the beat basketball stadiums in Sydney. Always clean with lots of parking space. 6 courts with glass boards.
Hey Hornets,
I would just like to say that you guys need to train your refs better. During my game today my friends was taking a free throw until the refs got called over to the bench and they said that my friend had 4 fouls and that he fouled out. The refs know the the foul limit is 5. Please train your refs better please:)
