What an absolute pleasure it was to wonder around the most gorgeous and relaxing oriental inspired gardens. I was helped by Vicky who took her time showing me every single plant and fountain - it was just so lovely and she was so kind and full of great tips and advice. Vicky had so many fabulous ideas for my garden which has reignited my plans for the future - thanks to her wonderful advice I’m going to think more outside the box with my garden beds and paving area and bring them to life - for Serenity and Peace.
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer all my questions and inspiring me!

Absolute 5 star service and 5 star experience!

Have bought a number of items from this little treasure trove over the years and have always found the staff very friendly and helpful. The items are well priced too.
Love Indo stuff.
To add to my last review, I bought a large rock and the staff worked in with us and delivered it without any hassles.
"I just love this place" as there is still the same friendly, helpful staff as usual.
Recommend these people to anybody.

They have an amazing range of plants and stoneware from miniature to large sizes that even I as an Asian person have trouble finding in Sydney. Picked up a beautiful stone lantern and water bowl today. So happy with the friendly & attentive service from the beautiful lady here, and her help to load them in the car. Thank you so much. Definitely coming back for more pieces for my garden.

Just LOVE this fabulous nursery and shop for unique Asian - Japanese, Chinese & Balinese - features for in your home or garden. Friendly, welcoming staff who go the extra mile to help. Absolutely a MUST if you are after something really special for your garden, your home or a gift. Workshops in Japanese ink painting & Japanese style pruning as well! They can design & build you a beautiful garden too! The place to shop when you want to stand out from the crowd.

Good selection of bonsais. Didn’t realise there were two different retailers - homewares & nursery. Beware of trip hazards, some areas are quite cluttered. Greeted at the door, unsure of further customer service as we didn’t purchase any items. Many statues of gods from various religions, can look quite daunting for those who aren’t familiar with them.:)

This place have pretty good products especially their stone products. I'm writing this review near a year later after this disappointing experience I've had during my last visit.

Enquired with imperial to check stock of a stone lantern, stone bowl, and a shishiodoshi in August last year. After 4 days time I was told all three items are available, including total cost of shipment.

I mentioned I will come pick up later that day, to avoid having to pay for shipment. They said sure, see you when you come.

After driving to Terry Hill, the staff member was nice and helped me load the lantern and the shishiodoshi into the car. After 15min I was told they couldn't find the bowl. Another 15min later walking around the whole complex trying to find the bowl I was told it was not available. Sorry for the inconvenience, and if I would like to take a different bowl away and they will replace it when the bowl I wanted comes back into stock. I said no, I will wait.

Was told the bowl will arrive in 3 or 4 weeks time. And the staff member who attended to me said he will personally deliver the lantern for free when it comes into stock.

I asked if I need to pay a deposit to which I was told no. You're on the list so pay once the stock arrives.

A month later, I followed up. Two month later, three month later. Every month I followed up until the 6th month when they asked me to stop calling and they will notify me when it come, every month says it'll arrive the next month. This time they gave me an ETA if March.

Comes May I finally got notified if it's arrival. Only to be told the price has increase and no such thing as free delivery.

I just found this false promise and lack of organisation and management very irritating especially when I'm trying to be nice and waited so long. Understanding it's through covid and there is supply chain issues. But to increase cost after confirming and promises that weren't kept.

If imperial told me earlier I would have proceeded with my order from Melbourne which was in stock, and shipment would have still be cheaper than the increase in cost wacked on by imperial nearly a year after all has been agreed.

Very disappointing experience.

Huge range of Japanese plants, v.inspirational!
Seems to be in a class of it’s own in Sydney.

A bit of a messed up mish mash of several retailers with no clear boundaries or directions & not very helpful or friendly staff.

Beware trip hazards, clutter and damaged goods. Been here many times over the years and this place has been long overdue for a clean up. Please take care when walking around the nursery as mentioned in other comments. Despite the nice setting and unique range of products, we had a very unpleasant and unprofessional experience here recently.

In the back corner there's the leaning tower of Pisa in terms of pots stacked on shelves which have partially collapsed. The walkways are so narrow that it's very easy to brush past a small pot on a shelf which leads to a domino effect. This happened as a sprinkler turned on and sprayed my girlfriend in the face immediately after. Quite comical at the time.until the staff were very unforgiving and demanded all broken pots were paid for.

Very unreasonable, won't be coming back again.but it makes for a good story to share! Shame.

Well worth the drive. In designing our garden we've visited over 20 nurseries throughout Sydney so far, but these guys have got things you just cannot find elsewhere. Reasonably priced, and helpful staff too. If you want to set your garden apart from the run of the mill hidden orient is a must.

This is probably my favorite garden shop ever. We wandered in here after seeing a giant granite Buddha from the road. I’m visiting from out of the country otherwise I would have bought everything and made a full out Japanese garden. They have a ton of granite decorations, water holders, pond decorations, outdoor bonsai trees, beautiful Japanese maples, affordable granite benches, and some Bali decorations indoors. Could have spent hours here enjoying the day. There were even some eastern water dragons chilling by the koi pond in the front. I can say with certainty that this is probably the best oriental garden shop around, it’s more affordable than you think and you better hurry in here before my parents and sister buy everything after I tell them about it. There are also nice places for some Instagram selfies in the back where the bamboo is.
