I had a custom necklace made. Thank you to Phoebe and Chu for making it a very easy and seamless experience. I love that I was able to customise the stars and diamonds, it definitely feels more personal.

Honestly, Her Banana is the best jewlery store in all of Sydney that I know of. Chu, the jeweler, designs all of the jewelry herself, resulting in unique, beautiful pieces you won’t be able to find anywhere else! Not to mention all the stones and materials are ethically sourced (from South Australia) and the pieces are also all hand made? If you want beautiful, unique, handmade jewelry that is ethically made, Her Banana is the store for you!

The staff also mentioned to me that the material doesn’t contain any nickel, which is great as it prevents the greening of the material as well as delays the tarnishing process! Furthermore, Her Banana doesn’t just sell jewelry, but offers replating, resizing and repair services! They can also make any custom design! I’ve never been to a jewelry store before that has offered these services, especially for such an affordable price ($15-30)!

Last but not least, I love coming here because of the cozy, fun atmosphere of the store and the friendly, sweet staff! Special shout out to Chu, Phoebe, and Sonya! I love them, they’re such sweethearts. Highly recommend Her Banana to anyone who wants to new jewelry piece for themselves or as a gift!?

Absolutely terrible. Ordered earrings, on site it says 5-10 days. No communication at all so nearing 3 weeks later I emailed to ask where they were and was told they would be ready within the week. Still nothing, no explanation until after almost a month I asked for a refund. All of a sudden, they were ready to ship that day! Then they said that when my order was placed, the earrings weren’t in stock so had to be made……owners phone number was given…. She wanted to speak to me! No way, after such disappointment and terrible service. Never again!

Such friendly staff and the jewellery is so beautiful. They've been incredibly helpful getting a new shorter chain for my necklace and measuring it to the exact length I want. I will definitely be buying all my jewellery from them in the future

Every single piece of jewellery I wear is Her Banana - including my custom designed engagement ring which Chu went above and beyond to create and source the perfect diamond for! Ive been buying from them over 4 years and all their pieces (especially the solid gold, which I wear) are the highest of quality and incredibly beautiful. So glad this wonderful shop exists in Newtown - I'll never buy anything else!

Great designs, fabulous jewellery and appalling customer support. Left a necklace for a repair.for a few months no email, no phone call, nothing. Went to the shop and could hear 'sorry come back next week'. She could not find it and explain why there was no communication for a few months. Appaling behaviour and very poor care of the customer.still do not have the neckless! No refund for repair or any deeper concern about customer.

Quite embarrassing I purchased a Christmas present for a family member- they wore the item once and the jewellery has turned black. Very poor quality, I have no issue spending money for something that’s worth it.wouldn’t recommend purchasing anything there.
