Henry Lee's Redfern reviews
77The plating presentation and decor attract the crowds, but the food is bland and overpriced (one slice of avo toast is $21). Also, vegetarian and vegan options are limited and uninspiring, with the vegan option to remove egg/cheese from one or two dishes. I'm surprised at how inconsistent the vegan option is as well - you can only "take out the egg" of a couple of select dishes, and when the whole menu is basically eggs on various forms of carbs it's puzzling why you can have avo toast without the poached egg, but not the noodles.
Great food, loved the special lychee drink. The mushroom fries were heavy but delicious. The breakfast plate was loaded and impressive! Come hungry.
Amazing as always. Mushroom chips were best I’ve ever had although a bit salty. Croissants doesn’t really taste buttery though so gotta mark it down for that.
Atmosphere is amazing especially when we were the only ones in the restaurant.
Had a slight miscommunication with the server about my cutlery though, they thought I still wanted it but I didn’t so I ended up keeping it on the table.
I get coffee here quite often as my office is close by. Dine-in coffee is always perfect but the takeaway can be a hit or miss with temperature. Love the taro latte and food is lovely too!
Went fr brunch on a saturday morning.everything we ordered from mains to drinks were all rlly good especially the iced vietnamese coffee:) love the vibe of the place.staffs were friendly and attentive.will definitely return again!
Ok, just ok. Luckily we booked, or it would have been an hour to go from arrival to food.
Service way too slow. 45 mins to get a burger and croissant with eggs. Flavours ok.
Better to go to cup o flower in alexandria.
We had the chicken burger and a seasonal dish, everything was good but nothing too special:) Staffs were friendly!
The foods looks super pretty, taste wise is just average. The mushroom chips was delicious but some are a bit burnt. For the drinks is not really good to be honest as the taste is blend. The pancake is delicious. Services scape the place is cosy and well designed. The staff need more trained. Overall good.
Food is asian fusion brunch, tastes really good not just aesthetically pleasing! Mushroom chips were also really good although starts to ‘taste greasy/too juicy’ after a while. The place is like a hidden courtyard which is nice and quiet.
Tried their Benny Munro and it’s good. Pretty standard and the sauce blends well with the pull pork and croquettes. Would love to try other items on the menu when I visit again.
Came for lunch on a Sunday and managed to get a table quickly, beautiful venue for a sunny day. The service was friendly and the food arrived quickly. We ordered the Prince of Brighton and the Henry’s Dream and both were plated beautifully but flavours were quite bland. The sourdough was untoasted which made it a little soggy and chewy, and the Vietnamese iced coffee was also quite weak.
Great food and value for money period. Highly recommended the food is delicious and for what you are paying it is worth every cent.
We have lunch at the Macquarie Park new branch. Sincere and friendly service. Food is amazing.
Came here for a brunch just before 11: 30am for an attempt to get a walk-in table. Luckily we didn't have to wait too long and were seated within 5-10 minutes after putting our details down on the waiting list.
We were initially assigned a table which was super glary and had no sunlight cover, but thankfully a staff member was kind enough to move us to a table with a sun shade outdoor umbrella after we asked, so already a great customer experience before even eating.
We ended up ordering the 'Bring It On', 'There She Goes', Mushroom Chips with Truffle sauce, alongside two drinks (the Cold Brew (with Oat Milk extra) and Iced Vietnamese Coffee with condensed milk). Our order came through quite quickly and the taste was really impressive for all items.
Managed to finish everything between 2 people and would be keen to try the other items when we're in the area once again and have the appetite built up for it.
Food was yummy n interesting
Would love to see a change in menu.in few months to keep it exciting
Always a brilliant and creative selection of food. There's always something to suit your mood with a large menu and great drink selections.
If it rains on the weekend and you want to visit this place, be sure to make a reservation before visiting. Even if you are waiting for a walk-in, it may happen that the person who makes a reservation by phone calls first.
Had the avo toast with an additional side of scrambled eggs… really good breakfast! Visually beautiful, sour toast was perfect, micro greens gave it a different taste, and there was a bit of a Viet twist to it (lemon and mint leaves) that came across as a hint rather than something too strong.
Brunch that’s Insta worthy and tastes just as awesome as it looks!
Sheltered.
Dog-friendly - this is the most important to me! Thank you to your team
Nice venue and food looked yummy but did not taste good… We got three different meals and all of them had parts that were not cooked properly and served cold. Quite disappointing: (
