Heather has come in to run several art therapy sessions at CatholicCare Wollongong's weekly social groups with NDIS and HCP participants. The atmosphere she creates in the room is completely welcoming and reassuring, collaborative and ethical. Many of our participants would not consider themselves artists, but she was able to build a trusting environment in which all eventually had a go. She is not prescriptive, and she celebrates and nurtures each offer, attempt and expression that people give. I personally was really impressed with Heather's deft approach but more importantly, the participants all speak of her fondly and ask about her often. Look forward to working with her again in the future.
