headspace Queanbeyan

Headspace at Queanbeyan has changed our lives for the better! Thank you. Finding the right support person to help with these issues is critical.

In august 2017 I finally decided that I wanted to physically, and socially transition into a woman. I had no idea who to talk to or where to begin, so I called up headspace and booked an appointment.
I ended up speaking to nat, who helped me by booking an appointment with dr emma, and psychologist tim. Emma was extremely helpful at getting me HRT, and I was able to officially start hormones after 6 months, which is a surprisingly short timeframe.

On one of my visits, Dr. Emma noticed that I was feeling extremely suicidal, and as a result she called the suicide hotline on me, which was a very good decision on her part, and it did in fact, save my life.

The staff at headspace were extremely kind, supportive and helpful at a time that noone else was, they ensured that every service I would find to begin transition was free, and I'm now happily living as a woman full time.

If you need longterm support with any emotional issues, do not hesitate to call headspace.
And if you're feeling suicidal call 13 11 14 for immediate support.

I understand they are in high demand. Most of the staff are great reception staff could learn some manners in phone ettiquette.especially when not all is our fault. This isnt the first time it has happened at all. Not overly impressed but otherwise good service.

Very accepting and kind, have helped me out when I've hit absolute rock bottom.
