Hays - Recruitment Agency Wollongong

As a contractor, Hays has been a horrible service. I was reached out to by Hays for a job they thought would suit me, (Which I ended up getting), HOWEVER. The second you get the job, all communication is cut. 20 minutes before my first shift I got a call from HAYS telling me there was mandatory modules I had to complete before my shift started. Completely blows my mind they didnt think to tell me much earlier. During my first shift, I was told by my trainer that I wasnt able to get access to certain programs because HAYS did not submit all of my information correctly. They were calling me DURING my first day asking me for vaccination certificates and making sure I did the modules, I had to keep excusing myself which was so unprofessional. I've also emailed and called to try and ask about how I submit my payslips so I can get paid, and I've had no response. I didnt even find out ANY information about my first shift on a Monday until 4pm the Friday before, and this was after me emailing twice and calling. When I do actually get a hold of someone, they are lovely, but I'm finding it quite the challenge to do so, which has brought a lot of stress onto me during my first week.

The good: Nice people and good to work with also great securing casual work in these trying times.
The bad: Don't get enough work even though you see fellow workers getting many shifts at the same work place - that's when you realise you are not directly placed but labour hire!
The ugly: You are not allowed to talk to the work place directly for work as they can be charged a spotters fee by Hays of thousands of dollars! Really?

Very quick service. Had an interview within days of applying and received excellent service throughout the process. Excellent follow up and care during my interview and probation period for my new position too. 100% would use again.
