Hays - Recruitment Agency North Sydney

I was full of confidence when I completed the CPA with average distinction marks, and prepared for my next steps of my career. Hays was the first recruit agency that I had an interview with. Their consultant is just so unprofessional, she made me so frustrated about myself, and she even suggested me to not putting CPA and the marks on my resume to gain more opportunity for the position I am targeting. I felt awful after that interview and totally lost my direction. Then I met someone at Robert Half and Moir Group who are so encouraging and more professional. If I took the advice from Hays, I would have expecting only 55k-65k for the postion. But now I got selected by one of the top global companies, and got paid 80k. Don't go to them and be confident of yourself, you can find something better than They suggested!

I’ve had the worst experience with Rhianna at Hays Liverpool office.
She doesn’t keep to her words. A complete waste of my time and money to pay for petrol and parking to attend the interview. After the interview I send her a thank you email and follow up calls which she never returned my calls, I’ve left several messages with staff members with no reply. Highly not recommended Hays and their unprofessional service. At least treat people with decency and honesty, if you don’t like what you do for a job, then get the hell out and hire someone more professional as Rhianna is giving Hays a bad name! Give people of AUSTRALIA a fair go

I was testing the market for a new role, attended for an interview with Hays, lets just say the experience was one of shock & bewilderment.
Totally clueless. It is funny when when you are being interviewed by someone who has zero idea about the position and the type of people that should be applying with relevant qualifications & experiences.
Become a recruitment consultant at Hays, all you need is a working visa from anywhere with zero qualifications.

Quite honestly, the entire process with Hays has been a genuine disappointment, and I have not been impressed with your work as my recruiter. Never have I been told, by a recruiter or a hiring manager, that my mixed experience - including years of experience in management - was a negative reflection on me. Nor have I been told to "slow down" because I am too high energy. My high energy has been a deciding factor in all of my employment to date, and I am certainly not going to slow down to work for a company which obviously cannot keep up with me.

The recruiting treatment I have received has felt beyond condescending, rude, disingenuous and inaccurate. One of my biggest reasons for wanting to leave my current role is that it is not fast-paced enough, something I have reiterated several times during our interviews. Yet I am being put forward for roles which have 12 people in the entire company; while I am currently working across 18 agencies, with a total of 850 staff. I have felt that in this process you have treated me as if I would be lucky to find a job at all, never mind the fact that I currently work with a global leader in Tech, Innovation and Marketing.

As I said, my experience with you as my recruiter has been a disappointment to say the least, and I recommend you review your interpersonal skills and act with more professionalism and genuine interest with your clients as that was the deciding factor in no longer using Hays.

The worst recruiting agency ever no better than those aligned with Centerlink. Small office and very very cramped. I even heard they hires people with working holiday visa so more Aussie going unemployed. Well done!

Truly the worst and most unprofessional recruitment agency I have dealt with. I have interviewed for roles at both the North Sydney and Sydney CBD branches and both times almost walked out with the wait times as you are often kept waiting over half an hour after your appointment time and no apology offered. To the recruiters you are a number, not a person and they look down their noses at you when they are interviewing you. Most of the staff I have encountered at both branches were very young, inexperienced staff who are clearly on holiday working Visa's and could care less about the way they treat their candidates and it shows. After interviews at both branches I would see roles advertised by Hays that I may be suitable for and also were more than qualified for and when either applying for it, or emailing or calling up my contact person (who ironically was also the same person advertising the role) my enquiry emails and calls regarding the positions have never once been returned. Don't waste your time with this company.
