Hawkesbury Lookout reviews
56Amazing place. Good view from the hill. Went there around 11pm and enjoyed the views and drive.
See Greater Sydney from a far!
High Rise Buildings of Blacktown, Parramatta and on a clear day Chatswood and the City.
Went on a little drive with my daughter, she is on her L's. Such a pretty view looking out over Penith and Castlereagh. My daughter loved it her 1st time up there. Nice little spot to stop and have lunch.
This viewpoint has a special place in my heart. It was the first scenic place that I went alone and started my whole travel journey (you can refer to my other reviews for reference). This place is special because it is both pretty at NIGHT and DAY. During the day, you will get to witness the beauty of nature through the flowing rivers, verdant grass, blue skies, etc. Then, at night, you will get to see the city lights which are mesmerizing for some unknown reason.
At night, you can also bring your girlfriend or partner here for some romantic moments. Only point of caution is that the road going up here has many slopes with sharp turns that will take some driving skills. Needs a level of driving skill to get here.
Overall, this place is an ideal stopover. You will not waste your time when you come here. After visiting here, you can probably go to Katoomba, Blue Mountains next.
Just be careful there are many 15km/hr zone while driving up in mountain. Other wise refreshing lookout.
A beautiful and relaxed lookout! Coming here and enjoying your picnic with your family and loved ones is a fabulous idea.
A bit overcrowded and hard to park there due to the capacity of visitors. Can get extremely dark and cold. The drive there isn't too bad but be careful as many drivers will race down the turns that you often can't see around. The overall look out is much more spectacular of a day as opposed to night.
Get here on Sunny day to get the best view of Hawkesbury River and some greenery. Parking space available.
Great views, day and night. Come and enjoy a sunday morning drive, or wind down at night with a hot cuppa overlooking the flickering lights of the city below - tranquility at its finest.
Beautiful lookout, on a Sunny day you can have an amazing view of Sydney skyline. Great views. Must visit
Nice spot with great views for a stopover and little picnic lunch.limited parking for bikes and cars but you will find a spot with the moving crowd in and out.
Magnificent view. It shows you how small humans are.
Although there are plenty of car park available, you might wanna slow down when you approach this place because it’s right next to a highway.
Pretty kids friendly. There are a couple of chairs there for you to enjoy the view. It gets pretty windy so not very suitable for picnic.
Beautiful location, great drive to the lookout. And today there's lots of real clouds, not that sonic wave look lol.
Great parking, so nice and peaceful.
Picnic tables and seating available to sit at and take it the view.
There are a few things you can only see at that time in your life. It is a wonderful place that provides something that only awake people can enjoy at this time.
This is a nice lookout in Sydney's western suburbs, picturesque place great for photographing sunrises, sunsets and stargazing. It's your classic lookout where you can sit in your car and enjoy the view so It's no surprise why it's popular with young people. ️
Great, I mean amazing view! Has plenty of picnic benches around to sit at while you eat in the scenery. Better yet it's accessible by car, so no need to hike up or down anything to get to this gem of a spot.
Nice location, plenty of parking, good view. Cannot park in the area after 6pm as per the sign. Could do with couple more benches and tables
With a carpark right beside Springwood Road at the top of the twisty bit, this lookout offers expansive views over Nepean River and Penrith Lakes. A short walk from the car park to the front fence gives unobstructed views, especially of the extensive man made lakes scheme beside the River. Best to look up some history of how the lakes came to be and consider a coffee break at any of several picnic tables here. Nice city light show after dark (on a good night) as well. While I was there a worker came and cleaned up all the loose rubbish in the park, which was reassuring.nicccee lookout.
A nice book with great view.
Nice quiet less crowded place. Opposite to this lookout, you can have garden benches, small picnic area and public toilets.
Don't miss to explore city skyscraper buildings from the viewpoint.
