Harvest Newrybar reviews
81Went for a meal with my husband. Staff were friendly and attentive, ambiance pretty and peaceful, and food thoughtful and delicious.
From Melbourne to this restaurant.
Absolutely outstanding!
Such lovely staff too.
Must visit!
A wonderful evening spent at Harvest for our anniversary! Food, venue and staff were wonderful. Paola was an amazing host and corrected a minor kitchen misstep. Left feeling warm, happy and full. Thanks Harvest!
Hadn’t been for some years and was hoping it had maintained its earlier high standards. Turned out to be better than I remembered. Food and service were of the highest standard. Already planning our next outing.
Stumbled upon this adorable café in our little town – no fancy menu, just whatever deliciousness they've got at the moment, like sandwiches, croissants, cakes, and coffee. The croissants and coffee? Absolutely spot on. The vibe and decor? Totally awesome. Whether you wanna chill inside, up front, or in the backyard, it's a sweet spot with super-friendly service.
Thank you for making the celebration for our son's birthday extra special. Everyone loved the food and the service was exceptional.
Sorry.we were a little disappointed with the steak. Definitely not worth $49, had way better at the local pub.
I think the other dishes looked OK at other tables.
Deserts were excellent.
The staff suggested swapping out the steak to another meal which was very nice.but.
Wines very expensive.
Expect dining cost of at least $150 each including a shared appetiser, main course, shared deserts and a bottle of wine.
Do not go here if you are vegetarian or vegan. I got served an actual bowl of lettuce as a main (!) dish as part of a group lunch menu. I still have secondhand embarrassment for the waitress who told me, “don’t worry, you don’t have to share this with anyone” and thought that was a good thing to say. Not to mention the chef who thinks this is ok and can’t provide a simple meat free main dish. I was still charged $120 for this and not offered a refund or anything of the sort when we followed up with it. Appalling.
Fantastic food, beautiful setting and the service was outstanding! Can't wait to visit again when I'm next in the area.
Had another lovely lunch here yesterday. Food was great and service personable. Only thing was they seemed to need more waiting staff to help cope with a large party on a different table. Still, lovely atmosphere as always
The restaurant is great, the cafe and deli serve up great food and coffee, I thing the best ham in the region for Xmas.
The best part are the events, fun Fridays, acoustic Sunday.
Check the website for all the events.
10 out of 10 all the way. There was absolutely nothing to fault. We were a table of 6 and everyone raved about their choices. We would definitely go out of our way to go back. Highly recommended.
Travelled up from Orange earlier in the week to have an early Christmas lunch with our daughter, and to say we were blown away by our dining experience at Harvest would be an understatement
The food was exceptional, the atmosphere perfect and the wait staff were truly amazing
Could not recommend Harvest Newrybar more highly
Sydney sider here - we are spoilt for choice. We love coffee, so whenever we're travelling anywhere we like to find the best coffee shop. We ordered two espressos, a small flower Custard dessert, and a small cookie wrapped in nice packaging. This cost us $34 (I thought. $34!? !?). I went back asking how much the packaged cookie cost. $22. I thought it couldn't be THAT expensive.coffee was average and served in a dirty glass.
We came back for dinner as it was pre reserved. After our morning experience, I thought, dinner needed to be outstanding. We weren't impressed. We expect value for money and we didn't think it lived up to all the hype. Just pure honest review, and maybe in the byron area it might be good however we just weren't impressed. $155 dinner with no alcohol and unimpressed. House veggies with macadamia cheese was nice and unique but lacked a little more flavour. Oysters were small. Leek & local fish was nice, small portion. Wish it had more 'garnish. ' Thai basil fish was great.
Amazing experience. Places like this are important for the future of sustainability in food production and for the general public to see there is availability of nutrionally dense produce, well done.
PLEASE - don't waste your time, money nor hunger needs at this venue. My wife and I arrived excited but left vowing "never again" - a rare reaction from us. Food is poor and WAY overpriced. Sad!
Only the cafe is open at 6: 30. The deli opens at 7: 30. Not sure when the bakery and restaurant open but they're not open at 7: 30.
Great spot for the deli, just above the village green.
Ok food, staff unhelpful and combative.
A fantastic bakery and deli with really great food and service. Unfortunately if you want a coffee when it is busy, be prepared to wait if you are not a local.
Brilliant lunch! Great setting. Had seats at the bar which was grand. Enjoyed every mouthful of food and drink. Friendly, efficient service too.
