Harry Hartog reviews
56 Nice shop with very friendly staff and a great selection of books gotta love shopping in Bondi Junction the only issue was parking but that’s to be expected I guess
Great shop
Definitely worth returning for more of my favourite books
Maddie (a staff member) was super kind, friendly, and lovely to talk to, they were out the front wrapping presents and did such an amazing job with the ribbons and paper! Hope they get acknowledged for their kindness to customers!:)
Loved it, excellent range and titles, good from first books to speciality titles, loved the witch craft range
Big choice and good advices from one the team.the other guy was totally unfriendly and he wasn't motivated to work.
Great book shop in Bondi Junction. I think they have every book anyone would want. Very helpful staff.
Decent selection of books and nice staff even when they were being swamped during the Christmas rush
Is a very nice fancy book store. The decorations are nice. Lots of book and comic and picture books.
SHOCKING EXPERIENCE - I bought a $50 book as a gift a few weeks back. Turned out the receiver of the gift already had that particular book. We went back together, explained that I had bought the book a few weeks back but since been overseas, that we just wanted to change the book to something else, the receipt was in the bag. The girl initially said yes, but needed to check with her manager. 2 minuets later she comes back, now with a dog ear on the book (that wasn't there before) and said because of this and because of the time frame the manager wouldn't allow us to return the book. We explained that we hadn't even opened the book, it was still in its packaging and we just wanted to change to something else and asked to speak to her manager instead. Suddenly the manager wasn't there anymore and wouldn't return until the day after. I cannot fathom how you can treat customers this way - a simply gesture of goodwill and everyone would be happy. Shame on you.
Great to see there is still a need for the printed word. Harry Harrog store are very inviting and relaxing stores.
Book worm central
Sadly no seats.
Still nice space
Gifts and obviously books.
WOW what exceptional service, im not an avid reader, nor someone who writes reviews but this was retail service at its best, please foster this, please thank your staff, helpful, knowledgable and informative, this makes shopping a delightful experience
Only went in there following my friend. Staff so nice and helpful. Really interesting range too.
Gimmick store with random, impolite staff who are not locals- they don’t get the Bondi vibes if ya know what I mean. I mean, the staff is rude, unhelpful and basic.
Great place to grab a book or an educational toy for the budding genius.my nephew and neices are going to be spoilt this christmas.thank you for the help, grabbing the boxes off the top shelf.
Such a beautiful bookshop. Full of amazing books in abundance. Also beautiful vintage toys on display
This is an awesome bookshop. They have a wide range of current and obscure titles. The staff are friendly and helpful
Love love love Harry Hartog! Such a wonderful bookshop great range and such helpful staff. Thank you!
I went into this store to find a book for my Granddaughter, and came out with so much more! I was greeted by a smiling Bookseller as soon as I walked in and I was very impressed by her knowledge of books. This was my first time in Sydney as I am stuck here unable to return to Melbourne, but I stumbled across this store and I am so glad I did! Such a beautiful atmosphere and terrific range of books. My Granddaughter is not a reader, but as I am a Professor or Literature I was eager to find her something wonderful, thank you to Jazzy at Harry Hartog Bondi for a whimsical and wise conversation. You bought back the excitement of reading for me!
While this is a large bookstore, the fact that they cater to a range of interests means that the books available in any section tend to be very surface level. There is a selection of children's toys and games (board games like ticket to ride). There is also comfortable seating outside so you can read your book after purchasing.
