I absolutely love this bookstore! They have a wide selection of beautiful books, and the store's layout is lively and fun. Every time I go, I just don't want to leave.

Cosy bookshop in MQ centre and we drop in every time we are there. Also love the jelly cat collection there, so cute

Always been a favourite of mine, Hartog has a great range of books, and even discounted second-hand books. They can even buy your books, by appointment on Tuesdays, which is helpful if you're an avid reader. They also have a modest selection of gifts, stationery and also offer gift wrapping. Their customer service has always been great, especially the staff that have served me. I'd highly recommend coming here if you're looking for a particular book, but you just can't find it at Dymocks.

They've put effort into making this place stand out in a beautiful way. Such a cozy atmosphere but still so big and lots of variety! & sometimes they play minecraft tracks (please never stop)

Charged for a book we didn’t buy, took me 3 visits and heated arguments to get a refund. To their credit the manager eventually went to check video from 2 weeks ago and admitted the mistake. Surely more training for those new staff will benefit the shop in the future.

This store has been one of my favourite shops with its decent range of selections. However recently I ordered a book with an ETA about 2 weeks. When it finally arrived, the book cover has been damaged due to the natural of its material used. When I tried to clarify this with one of staff members, a tall young worker, he had the worst cbf attitude whilst trying to explain the cause of the damage. If you are showing your customer the image of “you don’t want to be here”, then maybe you shouldn’t work here at all. Do not damage the reputation of a good bookstore with your negative work ethics. Mind you none of the other staff members have provided such poor customer service ever.

Just about the best book store I've even been in. Absolutely huge selection, plus they had I book I couldn't get anywhere else, not even online.

Good book store with fun collections of small presents for all ages. Visit everytime when shopping at Macquarie.

Nice shop in Macquarie. Good variety of books. Thought the store aisle is a bit narrow to push a pram around.

Harry Hartog Macquarie is my local bookstore and it never fails to surprise me. The staff are lovely and treat you with respect and will always gladly help you when looking for something, the possibility of also finding a gem of a book is highly likely. Cannot recommend more if you are around Macquarie

It's got books, lots of them. The 3 Old rugged leather chairs right outside the store are a nice touch. Staff are very nice.
Lots of cool quirky knick knacks as well. Prices for the books I bought were pretty good too. Solid book store I reckon.

The staff are always friendly and happy to help find what you are looking for. The shop is nicely laid out and usually has a good selection of books.

They have great titles but off course are a little bit more expensive. You will find all sorts of presents there for any age

Hi Harry, thx for providing us with such a nice place to hang around with. My toddler son loves your place. Your selection of books are awesome as well, you provide lots of varieties and a great selection to look. Great place to find a gift or to add to our little library:)

This is my favourite book shop hands down. It has such an inviting atmosphere with little trinkets scattered throughout the shop, inviting you to discover something while you’re browsing.

The staff are over the top helpful - I love it!

I recently had some items gift wrapped and I was pleasantly surprised with how they looked. Not many places now give you a silky ribbon!
