Harris Farm Markets reviews
47Excellent place, such a huge variety of fresh produce. Many varieties of things you dont see anywhere else. Interesting cheeses, breads, milks ect. Well worth a wander thru.
Love shopping here. Pretty good range of products. I bought chilli sauces and Italian biscuits mmmm
There’s shopping and then there’s shopping at Harris farm. Next level freshness and selection
A bit more expensive than other places for the harder to find stuff but cheaper and nicer fruit etc.
Cant get a better freshly squeeze bottled juice anywhere. Fruit & Veg quality is always top tier.
A Great place to get fresh bread, seafood, fruits and a lot more, but it causes a lot of congestion on darby st.
Worst online shopping experience. On the day of delivery I didn't receive everything I ordered for a family reunion so I had to go to the shops and get what was left out from my order, meaning I had to spent more money that I had planned to.
I received almost all the products 2 days later just to notice that some things were out of stock (even though they were advertised when i got them). For the missing products I received a "gift card" but occurs that it can only be used online and I am not planning to spend a cent more there. In summary, the online service sucks.
I am new to the Newcastle area, I have come from 40years in Sydney and the past 10 years a Harris farm customer. On the26 October Wednesday evening at about 7pm I went for the 1st time to Harris Market at Cooks Hill and I hade the MOST negative experience. I needed green leafy vegetable, there were 3 bunches of chicories dry/dead with the laves starting to go black and mouldy. No other green leafy vegetables available. The general quality of most fruit was absolutely poor at least compared to my past 10yrs experience shopping at Harris Farm! WORST when I went to the tomatoes section i found to my horror that the prices guideline were incorrect! I am talking BASIC Maths!
I have taken pictures to email to customer service/feedback but I am finding even difficult contacting Harris Farm! I called (the number on the web and the reception asked me to dial again the number and ask for extension # 2 because she could not transfer me! What a joke.
I will NOT go to this shop ever again
Huge selection of cheese, fresh fruit n veg, butchery, artisan breads, fresh seafood.
Excellent service and value.
Almost a one stop shop.
Worth checking it out if your a foodie.
Always love being to get some more unusual ingredients here. Would highly recommend checking it out, maybe getting some fresh bread or fruit.
Great for seafood and meats, while being surrounded by Newcastle's best range of vegetables, fruit, yoghurt, nuts and let's not forget an amazing selection of mushrooms and condiments. Set aside at least twenty minutes to just browse on your first visit. For example this week it was the red pine mushrooms that made to my plate. Great for a cup of coffee also.
Not going to lie it is a little pricey for some things but it is 100% worth it. Quality of food is outstanding and It a fun place to shop. Feels like a family
Fresh and organic produce, reasonably priced. Wide variety of everything from fruit and veg to meat and breads
During the COVID lockdown this has become my favourite shop. It is a little more expensive then Woolworths and Coles for fresh produce but the quality is much better
I like the produce, but object to often being overcharged. Unlike other shops, that make up for the error by giving you the product free, Harris Farm Markets simply refund the amount they've overcharged you. When I queried that, I was told they're 'too small' to have an alternative policy. I pointed out that overcharging happened 'frequently', and they agreed, but claimed the scanning machines were 'too sensitive'. (Believe that if you will!). They then tried to justify their policy by claiming that sometimes customers go home, remove the label, and come back for a refund (I didn't ask how that works, but it's obviously irrelevant to their overcharging me). Anyhow, they apparently know they frequently overcharge, but say that's why they provide a receipt. (You can call this claim a non sequitur, a rationalisation, or a furphy - take your pick!). So, as they're making no effort to improve their processes, they agreed with me they'll obviously go on overcharging people, but only refund the overcharged amount if you catch them at it. Good luck, customers!
Good tasting fresh food, nice staff who are helpful and polite, and respond to formal feedback. Decent food and coffee in the attached cafe, and great fish also attached out front
Amainz amazing shop! Heaven for your senses! I loved their wide selection of teas and chocolates and also their health food stuff is pretty awesome. This is where we bought our Matcha green tea
Travelled here December 2019
Best fresh vegetables and discounted seconds are always a great bargain. They let you take a produce box to carry groceries which is super handy. Great range of food some things are expensive but the fruit and veg is worth the money everytime. Staff are nice and pack the groceries with care. It can get very busy since the amount of parking isnt massive but they have people to direct traffic to parking spots when that happens so their always onto it.
Now this place has got everything. Sourdough, fresh seaFoods, butcher on site every cheese under the sun.of I could put four and a half stars I would but the reason I am missing a star is because it's pretty expensive and the parking is very tight and on the weekends there is a wait.
Big range of fruit and veg but not cheaper than supermarkets unless buying imperfect picks.
Decent vegan range.
Parking is horrible.
