Harbourside Fish Market and Cafe reviews
73Great feed, was huge, we got the meal for two, it fed two adults and two kids with leftovers. Fish was fresh and the Prawns were delicious
Best fish and chip shop hamburgers! Seriously good calamari rings, grilled fish and chips. Friendly service, will be back!
Good selection of fresh & cooked
seafood. Reasonable prices,
nice hardworking staff.
Absolute rip off! Charged us for $68 for 3 x grilled fish and chips. They know it too! Never going back.
Almost perfect. Great value for you money. The food is really good, I received a prawn, lemon and sauce on my plate with no charge.however, the main part of the dish is a let down. The fish was tasteless. I would definitely come back again but I will get something other than fish.
Delicious food, friendly staff, and clean environment. The salt and pepper squid and battered calarami rings were particularly yummy.
Highly recommend and definitely would come back again!
We were in the mood for fish and chips! Found Harbourside Fish Market, which was close to where we were.
Staff were very friendly and the food was really good. Definitely value for money. I was so full!
Thank you for the great food!
Terrible customer service. We did not get what I order. We asked them to double check the order when it was ready and they said it was all there. When I realized something was missing I contact them by social media and they blocked me. Very disappointed as it was a treat for me birthday and turned out a disaster: (
Came here based on good reviews. Did not really enjoy the battered food (fish, salt and pepper squid) or chips, but the crumbed food was nicer (calamari rings and prawn cocktails).
Always fresh and delicious, never fails to be great fish especially the crumbed flathead.
Lovely people serving as well.
Great spot for a quick lunch. Staff was friendly and the food was really yummy. Added 2 calamari to the lunch pack and it worked out perfect for two. Everything was really fresh and we absolutely loved the crumbed coating.
Excellent $10 special! Great value for money and so delicious! The tartare sauce was provided at no extra cost and seemed to be homemade. It was fabulous. I can highly recommend the salt and pepper squid. Very accommodating for those with little ones. Also in the Cafe, as the name suggests, fresh fish prawns and oysters can be purchased.
Originally ordered from here a while back and food was good.
Really annoyed and disappointed I’ve tried to order twice since via Deliveroo (where I ordered the first time) a few months apart from each other that process then get denied by the restaurant about 10 mins after I place the order. Don’t advertise as being open still and accepting orders if you don’t want to accept orders 45 mins before closing time if that’s the issue.
If you are out of the items requested, make that known via your delivery platform.
Recently purchased sashimi grade salmon fillets and they had an absolutely terrible smell and were clearly as far from fresh as possible. Had to throw away all of the fish (at least 500g). Am extremely disappointed and shocked that I was sold old fish without hesitation from this business. I always shop local to support businesses but won't be returning here again.
I spend around $60 f/night with the mobile truck in Camden and purchased fresh Yellowfin tuna for Sashimi last week. Upon opening the bag that night I found that the fish was a bit slimey and smelt a little so discarded it. I went to purchase fish today and advised the salesman and he said I should have brought it back and he couldn't do anything about it and I'd need to talk to to his boss on Monday. Ridiculous, I spend in excess of of $1200 a year with them and he won't replace it a $12 piece of fish. Last time I deal with them if this is the attitude
Said it closed at 730pm, rocked up at 6 and it was closed. With no signage or anything. Very disappointed
Bought some supposed snapper today for dinner tonight. Home crumbed, and cooked like I would do to most fish fillets. This was definitely NOT snapper. It was sooo rubbery it was inedible. We have not been impressed with the quality for the last six months or so, but were in the area so thought we would try again. Big mistake. Last time we buy from here. I rate this 1/4 of a star. Maybe.
Great place but 2nd time round was a bit of a disappointment. Too oily and the fish was not good quality
Good service and nicely cooked crumbed fish. Fresh fish also good. Cafe could do with a bit of modernising.
Enjoyed eating in twice this week whilst visiting from Sysney.
Freshly prepared grilled whole snapper on the 1st day and a ful grilled l Barramundi on our second visit.
Added some green prawns and scallops ro be grilled and it was delicious.
The owner and staff are very obliging and pleasant and take pride in what they do
Would recommend.
