Hanging Rock Lookout reviews
38It is spectacular. I did not expect it to be so stunning, and it took my breath away for a moment.
Magical place, an awesome rock formations. You can't miss the walk down between the rocks to have a look at the hanging rock from the bottom. There're plenty of parking spaces but no toilets available, the only toilets were for the camping sites that need an access card.
It's a really great place to relax. There are plenty of walking trails right next to it.
You can also do the nowra historical walk while returning back to town which features plenty of historical buildings.
It has plenty of ground for different purposes like footy, agricultural expo, too easter show, etc.
Love Ben's Walk, the views of the Shoalhaven River, the Swinging Bridge, the Mangroves, the challenging stairs, great fitness workout for the legs and lungs! Beautiful walking tracks, and abundant supply of native plants, trees, wildlife and variety of birds life singing while you walk.that's why I keep coming back!
Pretty lookout, you can just look at the rock and enjoy the river views or you can take a pretty bush walk just near by.
The hanging rock had been fenced for safety purposes, can take photos from a distant. Just need to be careful with strong winds. Plenty of parking space & just a short walk to attraction
I took Ben’s walk steep steps down to the waterfront, rustic walk trails with beautiful suspended bridge
A view you never get tired off. You can follow the stairs down the cliff face for a bush walk around Bens Walk.
A must see for passers-by, overlooking Shoalhaven river from high ground. It is next to camping site but the bathroom/facilities were locked. Will definitely explore Bens walk next time when better prepared.
The scenery is very beautiful, it is a good place to camp and set up tents for leisure vacation.
风景很美,是露营、搭帐篷休闲度假的好去处。
Ben's Walk was absolutely gorgeous, spectacular and varied scenery, lots of birds. Be warned track is graded 'easy' but it's at least 'medium' in quite a few parts.the weir crossing over rocks is difficult unless you are young and very agile. Very steep descent and ascent into trail. Hiking boots and pole recommended if older or any war injuries. Finish off with visit to Old Salt Distillary nearby for lunch and you will be VERY happy.
Could be better maintained by the council with better signage. There looks like so many great little walks but no idea how long or where they go. Shoalhaven council could make all these walks into a great tourist attraction with some effort.
I was looking forward to this walk with all the positive reviews but not having proper singage we had no idea where the track goes to so had to abandon our walk.
There's a great trail with steps down and around to underneath Hanging Rock through a gap in massive rocks.
The best viewpoint in all of Nowra! Such a lovely spot and the beginning of the beautiful Ben’s walk which is a must do. Enjoy the most peaceful walk in Nowra and please bring a rubbish bag along and collect the odd piece of trash along the way
I and my husband had an unexpected journey in Hanging Rock lookout and it was joyful even it was a rainy day
At the car park, it seems hard to imagine there is a beautiful place for a short tracking down there but have some more patience with curiosity to find the entrance. It worth it:)
Nice small lookout near to Nowra town centre. There is a side walk which leads towards the riverside with few nice rock formation.
The surroundings are beautiful and watch our for the wombats and possibly platypus too. A beautiful walk called Ben's walk awaits you when you are there. On the walk, you cross over the creek on the suspension bridge and come back on the creek crossing which is basically made of elevated rocks.
Easy walk. Great views of grassland if you walk past the bridge.
Would highly recommend and despite the brown coloured water.
