Half Price Shutters and Blinds Sydney

Disgraceful communication. Putrid customer service. Being upfront and honest isn't a quility head office staff attempt to embrace.
You'd probably think I'd be upset that my warranty runs out relatively soon but You'd be wrong. It's a relief knowing I don't need to rely on them any more, it's also a concern realising more folks out there will likely share my experiences. Such a shame because the product is quite good.
Shout out to the GM (Dave or Daniel) next time a customer requests to speak with you don't cower away behind your staff.
I expect some kind of response to my review containing apologies, excuses and blame shifting.

Very very disappointed. It's over a month when they were quick to come and quote and quick to get my deposit but not quick to give me an answer on what's going on. Customer service is terrible when your told over the phone they will call and don't call back. I've never had an issue 18yrs ago when I got my shutters and now what's going on when I need 1 shutter.

Ordered 1 shutter, they said 4vweeks. It's close to 7 weeks now and 0 communication. Spoke to the sales rep who they have handling customer complaints now, due to most employees resigning and company has relocated online. He keeps on stuffing me around with no legit answers. Has no idea what's going on (lying through his teeth) have cancelled order as I don't want to lose more money. Manager refuses to speak to all the people who are waiting. Stay away from this company, no communication whatsoever and job not done. O stars for them.

From the sales rep through to the installer and customer service representative everything ran smoothly and my shutters arrived earlier than the expected date. Everything went well, no issues at all.

Update - so the installation date mentioned below of the 8th June has come and gone. Have the replacement shutters been installed…. Nope! Hahaha, what a joke of a company. If you have time and like being messed around, choose Half price shutters.

I wish I had a 0 star option! We ordered the shutters and it took 3 months for them to be installed. It turns out they ordered and installed the wrong product and we called to get this checked. They sent out a rep to investigate and he acknowledged the wrong product had been installed. Then silence for the next 3 months.nothing.no communication. So then we start to call and we get the old "its on its way" fob off each time. No one can tell us when they will be replaced. Trust me avoid this company and buy anywhere else. Literally anywhere else. In fact we found a great company who manufacture in Sydney and install within 2 weeks. We will be recommending and using them instead.

Right from the quote to finish, Half Price Shutters, were professional, transparent, open to negotiation, friendly, and kept in touch with us from start to finish. They were a pleasure to deal with. Absolutely satisfied with the end product.

I have been very happy with Half-Price Shutters. They installed two manual shutters for me 12 years ago, then upgraded them to electric shutters 7 years ago and have just installed another shutter for me. All staff were great. I didn't realise that the electrician might not come on the day of installation of the shutters, but the team pushed and it all got completed on the one day - which I ended up being very happy with. The shutter has limited the morning light coming in and the winter cold is no longer being felt coming off the windows. I am pleased and would recommend and use them again.

I have been completely amazed and blown away from the start when I made my initial booking for a quotation for 10 x motorised window & sliding door Roller Shutters. The office staff, quotation staff, check & measure staff to the installation technicians have all been fabulous to deal with. All staff are courteous, super-efficient, professional, knowledgeable and on time. All staff from the office to the technician on the tools could helped me with my decision giving insightful tips. I really liked that the check measure representative was the technician who finally installed my shutters, so he knew the job to complete a great finish. I HIGHLY recommend Half Price Shutters and their team of professionals. The blinds arrived in good condition, and were easy to install and looked better than the display photo's. I had a great experience with the team, especially with Ian, who was very patient and obliging. I will definitely use and recommend this supplier again. Regards, Peter

I feel so disappointed with this company. 2 business days out from my appointment they cancelled, after I had made plans to travel 6hrs to meet them at my holiday unit for a measure and quote. I had made this appointment 3weeks previously so why did they leave it to the last minute to cancel?

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Please avoid! 3 weeks in, no work done and still waiting on a refund. First they sent out an unqualified contractor (they also tried to cancel the appointment the day before despite us taking time off) to quote the job, they then call you on the same day to take the 50% deposit without letting you read the quote conditions (when i said we’d call back after reading it they treated us with an obnoxious attitude) In the second visit, the contractor tells you the shutters you want are unsuitable and try to upsell you by $1000 …they AGAIN call you on the same day to take payment. When you ask for a refund instead they dodge your calls and emails.it’s been 3 weeks without a single email, this is far far beyond any reasonable timeframe for a refund WHEN LITERALLY NO WORK WAS DONE. Denise where is my refund? Also been 3 days since you were supposed to call us back. Do not waste your time, energy or money, they are simply money hungry unprofessionals

I've just had a roller shutter installed to the back of my garage where we removed the brickwork to give access for pool digging machines. I couldn't be happier with my new roller shutter. It's like the ones they have on shop fronts. It's the perfect solution because we didn't have the clearance height for a traditional roller door. I think it's a better solution because it's more compact and sleek. Couldn't be happier.

I had security roller shutters installed on 7 windows in my house over 2 years ago. They were installed very quickly after the order was placed, look great and have worked faultlessly. Yesterday, I rang Halfprice about having one shutter awning adjusted so as to accomodate a new window that I am having fitted. They are sending someone out next week to perform the adjustment and also offered to perform the work under warranty. Brilliant! Thankyou for such great service!
