Exquisite dining experience where the food was prepared and served right in front of us with amazing precision, skill and attention to detail. It is a delight for all senses. I recommend going for the upgrade as it is a bit more special.

Absolutely amazing omakase. Every dish was perfectly designed and presented. The only thing is that we felt a tiny bit rushed (we were in the early sitting), but this did not detract hugely from the experience.

Food was on point.

Saw a review that there wasn’t enough food, which left me in stitches after dining here.

That guy must be eating competitively

Incredible - duck tempura with a duck egg in the middle was inspired and the scallop was excellent - Kaita-san your the master

A good yet underwhelming Omakase experience.

The quantity of courses is excellent and opened up with extraordinary sashimi courses that were the highlight.

We opted for the Explore Sale package and whilst the Sake selection appeared varied, in reality the selection was limited to the more mainstream sakes available that I had experienced elsewhere. Explore package is not the most appropriate name.

Unfortunately, the tempura was underwhelming given the "Temple of Tempura" philosophy. Overall, the menu was hit and miss for me and my partner, both feeling it lacked balance towards the end with overly rich dishes.

Additionally, I would recommend not to opt for the additional flowers. The charge for the $80 flowers and what my partner received on the evening was not as advertised.the boutique had 2 sunflowers and 2 native flowers. The website shows an elegant large bouquet of many natives, orchids and flowers.

At the end at payment, a top of 5% was automatically added and processed automatically. At this price point, there are more authentic and creative Omakase establishments in the CBD.

Unfortunately, the lack of balance in the Omakase, balance leaned too rich in the dishes and price point resulted in regret.

Amazing food. Tempura is so underrated, Haco manages to make it very special and give it the stature that it deserves. A fantastic dining experience coupled with an unexpected touch of magic at the end

The atmosphere was good, the food was good, and the service was good.
I was a bit reluctant because fried quail was unfamiliar food. Other than that, I was really satisfied with the course meals.

A reservation worth making. Fresh produce, great chefs preparing your food with care and a cosy and intimate atmosphere. Must try their house yuzushu and umeshu. Their tempura is just as good as the ones I've tried in the best tempura houses in Japan. One letdown was the waitress.maybe a long day in the office? Let's just say your disinterest shows immensely in your expressions.

The chef made me a duck dish in place of a dish to which I forgot to mention I had a dietary allergy to in my booking days earlier. Amazing gesture for a restaurant where the set menu and produce were set and combined for optimised experience on the night. Yet, the duck is sublime and the aesthetics Japanese traditional but modern in flair and sophistication. I had been to many Omekase dining in Sydney with my guests and foodies. Haco by far is the most genuine omakase experience in food, ambience, knowledge, service and experience in Sydney. Would sincerely recommend to anyone anyday.

Fantastic Omakase … Anthony and his team worked so diligently to present an amazing dining experience that I highly recommend ️

Best of all, I walked out very satiated and satisfied!

The zucchini flowers stuffed with spanned crab was a real highlight along with the A5 wagyu and abalone/ Tasmanian scallop dish!

To begin, the omakase was a bit pedestrian to be honest (the dishes were good enough but nothing out of the ordinary - I’m personally not that impressed by caviar ‍️) until the tempura courses began and then they were on fire Light, crisp, bursting with flavour and matched beautiful sauces and emulsions. I also loved the creative idea of eating one tempura dish with a touch of curry powder The revelation however was the abalone cooked in its liver - an explosion of flavour I’m usually not a huge fan of Japanese desserts but the sweet end of the meal was also excellent - great sorbet and a coconut ice cream based dessert. We were also impressed by the sake available, which didn’t pander to the usual “highly polished rice produces best sake mantra” and we tasted some of the best and unusual dry sake we’ve ever had. The chef was happy to chat away to us and it was a great atmosphere all round. We ended on a high!

It's been a month since I celebrated my 40th birthday at HACO with my wife. And I'm still feeling pretty salty from my experience so feel it's time to get this off my chest. After about $80 of random gratuities were added to our bill (obtained by an unnecessary light scanner) we run up close to $700 for the two of us. I left hungry. That really cuts deep, having spent that amount of money.to still want food.and to have additional fees slapped on top felt rather farcical. If you want to charge more, then make your set price higher. Don't take the liberty of adding additionals at the end; it's very audacious. But most importantly, make sure your guests leave full. I heard the girl next to me tell the waitress it was the perfect amount of food. I would say that person weighed about 50kg. A month on from this dinner and I feel insulted by my experience. I am not recommending HACO to anyone anytime soon.

This place is absolutely amazing. It’s a somewhat hidden location at night time which makes it all the more special. The service was great. Ambience and environment is chill, comfortable and relaxing. Drinks and food were spectacular.
Usually, when you go to an expensive restaurant, one of the worst things you walk away with is “well that money wasn’t worth it” or “I’m not satisfied/full” but this place will make you walk away happy with the money you spent and your stomach will be pleased. Definitely worth eating at this wonderful place.

My favourite omakase in Sydney- the private intimate ambience was paired with art on a plate. You could genuinely see the focus to detail put towards every dish and it was perfectly entertaining seeing the team work so beautifully together. Will definitely return.

Amazing food and service!
We went here for a late valentines and we loved everything about this place. The simple concrete exterior and small but cosy interior was perfect for an intimate dinner. Although the inside was quite small, seating up to 12 people, it was just the right size to enjoy the full experience of the chefs plating right in front of you and explaining each ingredient.
The food itself was and in my partners words ‘every dish was on point’, even the simple red shiso palette cleanser was refreshingly delicious.
One point though, for big eaters, you are unlikely to feel full after (my partner) and for small eaters like me, you’ll be fine:)

P.s. Highly recommend the yuzu sake and tasting of the 3 ice teas from (I think) Shizuoka Japan.

A+ Dining Experience - Tempura focused omakaze with creative and very technical dishes that left us feeling full and pallets satisfied.

Small and intimate environment to really focus and enjoy the dishes, service was attentive, professional but not intrusive.

My personal favourite dish was the first caviar prawn sushi bite, whilst if I had to rate one lower it’d be either the foie gras egg pudding (flavours were very weak versus the grease & ingredients) or the lobster (too citrusy for my tastes). But dishes in general were very high quality.

Great place to go for a special occasion.
