Habitat Commercial Precinct reviews
22Comfy open spaces with easy parking and accessibility. Range of great restaurants and assorted shops. Good place to chill, refresh and hang out. Boxing Day deals make many items very tempting.
Nice options, seems to have a location premium on retail products and food services. Great if you've just won the lotto and your not concerned about spending more than you should.
Unless you have a Range Rover or a Tesla do not go here. The residents of this place are appalling and very unwelcoming. There are street signs that say 'WELCOME' & 'SLOW DOWN' & 'TAKE IT EASY'. I guess they're trying to mimic the sign coming into to Byron Bay that says 'Cheer up, Slow down, and Chill out'. We'll I'll tell you what the residents here are defiantly not doing any of that! Very snobby bunch of people.
Keep getting told off by residents for parking there. They assume I am camping when I am not. They are very aggressive and rude. I am a regular customer at bare blends, although I don’t think I will be anymore. The people that live there have no authority to tell off people for parking legally there. It’s bringing a very bad vibe to the place. These are the type of people that are ruining such a beautiful beach town. Do they not realise that it’s a beach town? There are going to be vans parking around… They need to settle down about people parking legally and if they are so upset then maybe they should go back to the cities they came from.
Have stopped by several times when on holiday and nothing is ever open. Why don’t all the shops support each other by staying open so that tourists can spend money there! The centre management needs to create events and cheery atmosphere to bring people to the centre and support the shop owners.
Asked for a large soy coffee which took 10 minutes and they were not particularly busy. Was handed a small coffee. I just gave up and left because I had to go. Started drinking the coffee whilst driving and it was cow milk which I am allergic to. But it's a nice collection of shops etc.
Cool place without the usual huge Byron crowds, went to Barrio Cafe, great service, great coffee and food.
I really liked it here. It's very posh though. The restaurants and shops were quite exclusive. However it had a nice atmosphere. There were plenty of tables and seats in the area between the shops and cafes. There were lots of people meeting for coffee or lunch and others working on lap tops whilst drinking coffee. There were sun shades too, essential in the hot sun. Everyone appeared relaxed and smiling. I browsed the shops and surprisingly bought some Steve Mc Queen board shorts. They were a bargain, in the sale, otherwise I probably would not have bought them. What I was surprised to see, was that as I browsed the shops all shop staff seemed to have a dog. They were sitting on benches, under tables and in cages. All over the place. I did enjoy myself as we sat with our coffees and read our books. Great people watching too. I can't say I would have found it unless we had been going to the North Byron Hotel though. One to look out for if you are in the area.
Even the people living and working there can't give directions. I asked 3 people working there to find Parkes st and they all gave wrong directions. One shop assistant even directed me to drive the wrong way up a one way street. This weeks Echo has addressed some of the issues. Not on my cars sat nav because it's a few years old.
An eclectic collection of shops, businesses and food outlets, too many to take in one day, worth visiting several times
I long hanging here the best shops you need a fat wallet thats for sure. So helpful and mega friendly space
I love this precinct. From Omears Dental to Vagabond smoothies to the amazing shops and food at Barroso it has it all, including parking
We were planning on shopping in habitat.
The shop assistant left at 1.10pm, we waited till 1.55 pm.no show (back in 5 min)
A space with a lot of potential but still seems to be developing. I hope having Evolve there doesn't bring the reputation of the place down.
If you are in the area check vagabond or barrio for food, not worth visiting as a trip in itself
There is some cool little shop and cafe there, pretty expensive but worth a look if you are in the area.
I nearly wished I could have found something I needed, but didn’t. Nice maps.
But cool store anyway.
Amazing enterprise with multiple stores and businesses that are friendly and interactive. A wonderful atmosphere and beautiful environment.
Interesting place - campus design but plenty of small businesses operating. Once it's complete it'll be a busy precinct
A confident venture of mixed residential and commercial inserted into a craft/industrial precinct. Some incumbents think it's too gentrified but I think it will ignite a slow burn of growth. Worth the trip on the solar train.
