Gunnamatta Park reviews
52It is my favourite place to spend with a child. It's a big playground and a very calm, clean beach.
Bit of development around the foreshore, at the moment and parking is atrocious, but the ferry to Bundeena is worth the hassle.
It's nice and relaxing jumping off the wharf. However, it gets quite packed in the parking
Beautiful location and excellent community spaces to book for kids birthdays etc. Parking can be difficult so get there early if you can.
Close parking and cement path all the way to the pavilion. Toilets and change rooms available. Little netted off beach amongst the jetty board walks.
Really great beach spot for any occasion. All the water is netted off and there are no waves, very good for a relaxing beach day out, along with being kid friendly. The Gunnamatta Baths are also a great spot to fish or dive off into the water. The park itself has tonnes of space and all the trees provides some natural shade from the sun.
Nice quiet place with new free BBQ stove and a shed that can literally hold a party for over a hundred people. Well maintained and clean too
Really nice place for a stroll and to have some food near the benches. The beach is a nice view too, plus not too far away from Cronulla
One of the quietest picnic places in Cronulla. Bit hilly though, not pleasant if you're unfit. Good swimming beach, as there is no surf. I actually learned to swim here when I was a kid.
It's a magnificent shaded area, many tables, beautiful sea breezes, the railway station is nearby, there are many shops in Cronulla. Get something to eat, bring it to the tables and enjoy the grace, of South Sydney. Go for a ferry cruise, wander the beaches, it was a lovely place, to grow up in.
A great place for a BBQ and swim, with a playground as well getting a park can be Abit hard tho, due to it being such a popular spot for families.
Water isn't the cleanest, not like the actual ocean, buttttt swimmable and great for kids, no waves, plenty of shade, a park and toilets and showers
Good for abit of a fish
Shallow and small beach suits for family with kids. Shady area. Have a playground n public toilet. Lots of parking spaces. Not far walking from car park to the beach
Great expanse to be able to sit on grass under tall tree coverage. Use the table/ chair structures or bring your own.good access then down to the beach and bay.
Great place for friends and families. Easily accessible via train or car.
There are no waves in this calm bay.
The water has a pier people can jump from into deeper water and there is a decent size shallow netted area too.
There are plenty picnic tables and shaded areas and shops not too far away.
Brilliant netted beach pool. Great BBQ amenities with huge shelter. Plenty of tree shade and calm swimming area suitable for young children. Only downside is no food or drinks nearby. Great picnic and swimming area with piers for kids to jump from.
It was pleasant to sit in the shade of the pavilion. After cooking lunch I went in search of a tap to wash the BBQ, however, the only one available required a special key
Good quiet park for family catch ups or for a swim. Very calm water and great place for kids to swim as they can jump off the wharf.
Perfect swimming area for kids. Netted off swimming area, toilets, kids park, shadey area with trees. Can even take your dog down and let them run and swim in the area that isn't netted off. Great place for a family picnic and swim.
Gunna always fun to visit with friends and family, so many great memories have been formed here. You can walk along the shore all the way up to or near Darook at low tide which is nice, everything is well maintained and there are free BBQ facilities available too. Jumping off Gunna wharf is also a massive thing to do, and highly recommend it (as long as you know how to swim). Definitely worth a visit if you haven't been here already or aren't familiar with the shire!
