Gumnut Patisserie reviews
81Friendliest staff we’ve ever come across. Shopping here really made our day. The pastries were delicious as well and beautifully presented.
Brilliant baked goods available here. The creme brulee was divine. Very large range to choose from.
Located in Bowral with an offering of exquisite pastries, deserts, cakes and pies. Special occasion cakes available through prior order. Very friendly and helpful staff in the store. Excellent quality and worth the price. Hot drink options available as well. A must try if you are in Bowral.
Gumnut Patisserie is an absolute gem! I recently tried their steak and kidney pie, beef and mushroom pie, banana toffee pastry, and enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate. The first thing that struck me was the beautiful ambiance and overall pleasant environment in the patisserie.
Now, onto the food: both the steak and kidney pie and the beef and mushroom pie were outstanding. The pastry was perfectly flaky, and the fillings were rich and flavorful. These savory pies are definitely a must-try.
I also indulged in their banana toffee pastry, and it was a delightful explosion of sweet flavors.
However, I have to admit that the hot chocolate was a tad on the sweet side for my taste. And I wish they offer cutleries for people as the pie can get a bit messy (its a good one though). It's a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent experience.
In summary, Gumnut Patisserie is a place worth visiting if you appreciate delicious pastries and pies in a charming setting. Don't miss out on their savory pies, and just be mindful if you prefer your hot chocolate less sweet. Highly recommended!
Excellent place and location Excellent service and friendly staffs. Delicious pies and cakes.
For those who search for the very best and the finest French flavours. This patisserie makes everything with authenticity an high level of craft. The best ingredients are used and only butter touches their super popular Millefeuille. I would suggest to their patrons to adventure to other great examples of their offering that well deserve attention as they are well executed and loyal to their French origine.
This will not be my last time there!
It was super delicious. Something different which i never tasted before. All the pastries was taste good. Wow wow.
Would not recommend as we ordered a few different desserts for my birthday party but the only enjoyable dessert was the pecan pie and the mixedberry cheesecake. All others were average. Also, while there I first ordered a dessert to which was sold to the lady behind me and there was only one of this dessert option
Should be first in first served
Unprofessional and no apology from server
We would not return
Do not buy their custard tart - it is like baked omelette. Very eggy consistency and has only egg flavour (no vanilla). Asked staff for another product and they rejected.
While their pie was ok. The lady at counter was quite abrupt in explaining what they had.she needs to work on her customer service.
Extremely disappointing! Stopped in for lunch, all the cakes looked beautiful. We settled for sausage rolls, a mushroom pie, and a ham and cheese croissant. The sausage rolls were OK, however the pie was very dry, lacking any semblance of gravy or taste. The croissant was very soggy, the ham not at all tasty, and basically inedible. It ended up in the bin.
Don't be fooled by the nice looking cakes, which we didn't even bother with after the pastries. Never again.
Beautiful pastries and lovely drinks for myself, partner, and MIL. Nice wee seating area outside too that was pleasant.
When I arrived I was puzzled to see a queue out the front door. I was told I was luckily as the queue was sometimes much longer. Why? Because it’s that good. Pleasant service and great pastries. I grabbed a sausage roll to eat and some delicious deserts for later. Easily the nicest sausage roll I’ve had. The desert pastries really really good. If in Bowral you should give it a go
Everything here is amazing! We always get the mini tartlets box whenever possible, which is recommended if you don’t know what to get. Their hot pies are fantastic too.
I want to give kudos to their friendly and helpful servers, who are always pleasant no matter how busy it gets (and it’s always crowded whenever we visit).
A must visit if you’re in the area.
"Life is short, Eat dessert first", this is Gumnut Patisserie, a must try dessert on your bucket list. I recommended the Salted Caramel Tart. Melted chocolate filled with sweet caramel cream, with a hint of sea salt. It just like those small road blocks in your life, once you get over, you'll be much stronger, healthier and happier.
Can’t not stop at Gumnut Patisserie when ever I head down south.
Eden bbq pulled beef pie, lamb and rosemary pie, standard beef meat pie, any of the Danish pastries or croissants are all beyond delicious!
Looks good but taste meh
The mixed berry cheesecake very faint flavor and the base was stale
The raspberry tart taste like packed custard and bought in tart shells
Everything looks good for pictures that’s about it
After a while of eating the same thing for breakfast you know what your seeking. Good atmosphere. Staff brought all food out at the same time
Go for the sweets. Skip the savoury. Soggy pastry disappointing filling in both Cornish pastie and chicken pie
The award winning brownie is delicious but was a bit too rich for me. The eclair with chocolate filling was amazing. Chicken and leek pie good but not life changing.
