Greg and Audreys

Had a fantastic time at Greg and Audrey’s. Unfortunately, that was the case 5 years ago, and due to a change of management, the quality of food, service and atmosphere has plummeted so far down that they’re likely going to be the next victims of a submersible implosion.

I hoped to treat my friends with a lovely experience by visiting this place, however our experience was the diametric opposite.

The wings were soaked in oil - as if they were merely standing next to the deep fryer as opposed to being actually in it. Buffalo wings did not have the signature Frank’s red hot taste, and did not come with a serve of carrots, celery and ranch.

The Philly cheesesteak was an amorphous mass of bland barely cooked beef and gloopy cheese. Worse, slimy onions and capsicum.

The hotdog, the simplest of foods, was also somehow mishandled. That said, if your idea of a hotdog is a store bought kransky sausage with a skin so tough it couldn’t be chewed through, then this is the place for you.

The service, such as it is, is on par with the food. A 20 minute wait for the above food and forgotten drinks order was cherry on top of the cake (something I wish I rather had).

I am giving an extra 1 star because we derived a lot of entertainment from the various misspellings and grammatical errors in the menu.

I sincerely implore the business owners to reassess their approach, as there is a lot of potential in this establishment (evidenced by the significant goodwill it accrued under previous management).

*Edit*: there was a child in a pram between the fryer and the counter.

Not what it used to be with the food quality seems a long way off what it used to be but on a positive the service was good though

Ordered delivery and the food was fresh hot and so yummy! The ribs and wings are delicious 10/10.

Avoid the disappointment if you've been here before as it's not the same as what it use to be. The burgers are disgusting and the chips are cooked in old oil. The milk buns are now stale, cheap, coles buns and the "buttermilk" chicken is half the size it use to be, gross, frozen recooked chicken. The hotdogs are cheap franks in an old, stale coles roll with some toppings literally thrown on top. The way our food was presented was so unhygienic and appalling, with Gooey fingerprints all over the boxes. One of our burger rolls was that old that it looked like they had ripped a mouldy part off and still thought it was acceptable to serve to us. When we took that particular burger back to show them, they literally said "we were iffy about serving this to you but unfortunately it was our only option". What a joke! We are so shocked and appalled that you can serve food like this and still charge what you do. It's really sad as this place use to be one of the best little spots in toronto.

I was hesitant to try this restaurant because of the bad reviews, but I'm glad I did! We had a nice dining experience. The food was good, the service was okay and the atmosphere was cozy and family friendly. Not bad.

First time visit. Pretty happy with the food. This place is tucked away from the Main Street but good relaxing ambiance. Hotdog, wings, onion rings, and banana split are all good.

Great little old school Ice-cream shop with traditional snacks, great service and a cool location. If you're travelling by or through Toronto, do yourself a favour and get to Greg n Audrey's, you're mad if you don't!

First of all, hats down to our boy Jake. Best chef of NSW! His service went above and beyond. He made me and my wife the best burger I've ever tasted, I actually shed a tear. The taste made lost memories of my mum's cooking come flooding back. I'm telling you he is the next Gordon Ramsay.

I have been to this place in the past few years and today I found the atmosphere a little disappointing. The service was flat and decor was bare, like things were missing. The previous staff were bubbly and happy to serve. Such a sad change. Food was still ok. Less choice in gelato but still great.

Absolutely brilliant, called in there for the first time today for lunch, pulled pork and bacon loaded fries & a salted caramel thick shake, great service and very friendly staff, well done to Greg & Audrey

Delicious crunch waffles, fresh crisp perfectly salted fries and yummy hotdogs. Glad I stopped by here on a whim for ice cream. Lots of interesting imported soft drinks in the fridge as well!

Awesome hot dogs! The veggie dog w home made chili is v tasty. Also tried the limited edition Vegemite ice cream which was strangely good. Staff are super-friendly.

Thought we would drive over 30 minutes to try something new and we are so glad we did.
The place is small and tucked away, but surprisingly good.
The atmosphere is on point, a very old fashioned setup, from the decor to the signage and even the phone.
The food is amazing, two of us shared 1x loaded hotdog and 14 (we got 17) wings. We asked to have the hotdog cut in half, which was done no questions asked and given to us with baby wipes for our hands/face with our wings.
Food tasted amazing, and we are so happy we traveled to try this place.
We were so impressed we got some ice-cream afterwards, and it was just as great.
Will definitely come back again and try more items on the menu. Food was spectacular.

The food is bloody lovely! Best ice-cream to date and the servings are very very generous! Love the vibe inside of the shop and makes you feel cosy. The staff are super friendly and I always feel welcomed ️

One of the best places I've been to in a while. They were so accommodating for me and my family. They made our dining experience so good they have very friendly staff and the food is amazing! 10/10 would recommend every time!

Well priced, fantastic ribs and chips, by far the best in Newcastle. Phenominal variety of milkshakes, musk is highly recommended.

Great customer service, beautiful food and ice cream. Especially the jack Daniels chocolate ice cream! Only reason getting a 4 is because they forgot an item but happily gave it to us in our next order.

Great ice cream flavours that change everyday. Super shakes are yum and thick.asked for no whipped cream if you get take away otherwise the cream takes up half the cup. Food is OK at best. I've had bbq bacon and then ranch chicken loaded fries. Both had wayyy to much cheese (never thought I'd say that) and the whole thing sticks together as one clump. Also wayyy to much sauce - like everywhere. Wish they just put it on top and don't mix it through. Chicken was microwaved tough and chewy. Stick to the desserts and you'll be fine.

The food here is just so delicious and satisfying. The staff are friendly and personable and the cost associated with the amazing food is very reasonable. If you love the American diner style food then this is absolutely a must to visit
