Greenwich English College

It's the best place to study because there are students from all over the world.
The teachers are so fun and the office staff are so kind that I would like to give them 100 points.

I will write my comment under two headings examining the positive and negative aspects.
Positive:
A school with amazing teachers. Even though the teachers come from different countries, they have a great Australian accent and a love of teaching. They always do their best to help their students. I thank my amazing teachers who make this school beautiful. (Caner, Kellie, Meli, Delfi, Elif, Maya, Matt and Sanath)
I came from Turkiye. My family lived in the city where the earthquake occurred and I went through a very difficult time. Our school and teachers were very supportive during this process. Thank you.
Some weeks there are nice excursion.
They have services such as free psychologist service.

Negative:
Classes are very crowded. It consists of around 18 people.
Some classroom (especially on the Mary street campus) have no windows. You can imagine how stuffy it must be in a classroom of 18 students.
A nightclub was opened under the school. It gets extremely noisy during evening classes. They have absolutely no idea about the factors that create an effective learning environment. (Mary Street)
Some of the school's rules are very strict. When you want to switch to an evening class, they may keep you waiting for 1 month, saying all classes are full. This does not suit a very large school. It has more than 100 teachers. All classes are already very crowded. Opening new classes with fewer students shouldn't be too difficult for such a large company.
Almost all of the students both work and study. Their bosses choose their shifts, not them. It shouldn't be this difficult to help them change their course hours. They introduced a ridiculous rule that says you have to tell them 10 days in advance, but students are also given last minute notice by their bosses.

The only good thing about this school was its teachers. That's why I give it 4 stars. Student affairs rules should definitely be improved. It can be more flexible. This means employing more staff. You have tens of thousands of students from all over the world. And they pay you a ton of money. You can do this for them.

I really like this school, I study in the morning, I guarantee that we have several exercises for learning English, sometimes I even get tired, but I highly recommend it!

This college just seems to care about making money from students. It feels like they see students as a cash source.

The teachers do not prepare the classes, they are not dynamic, if you have a complaint they cannot resolve it because they do not have appointments.

For the first time in my life, I really enjoyed the school! A big thanks to Matt & Paul… they are the kind of teachers that everybody must to have!

I would definitely recommend my school, Greenwich English College, which is located in the center of Sydney. I enrolled in this college because of the recommendation from my agent. They said that Greenwich is one of the best English colleges in Sydney. So, I decided to join.

First of all, I would like to talk about the college. It is surrounded by many shops and close to the station, so it’s very convenient. Even though it isn’t located in a new building, the facilities inside are complete. There is a student area with necessary appliances, some computers for students, and water dispensers and microwaves on every floor. Since there are several courses depending on your goals, there are counselors, who students can talk with about their future plans. Actually, after a discussion with the counselor, I decided to attend 3 courses; General English, Cambridge and IELTS. Also, the college arranges some extra classes, like pronunciation class and excursions, and some events such as a Halloween party and a Christmas party. It is a good opportunity to make friends.

Secondly, what I want to emphasize about this college is the great teachers. All the teachers who I had lessons with, including Ian, Jack, Nick, and Sonia, taught us with clear explanations and perfect strategies. They are undoubtedly professional! Although some are quite strict, we all understand that they care about our improvement in English, and do their best to make us pass the exams all the time. They are supportive not only of our language development during class but also about our personal lives. For instance, one teacher introduced me to the teacher in beginner’s class in order for me to learn how to teach beginners because my dream is to be an English teacher when I go back to my country. I was also amazed by their classroom management, which made all of our classmates feel like one team, and that’s why we were always motivated to study positively. Due to the great support I received at Greenwich, I could pass the Cambridge Advanced (CAE) Exam!

I'd like to return my money because this school was waste of time. I went to FCE class. This class were 80% of students from Brazil. I and another nationality classmate felt very uncomfortable due to it. Also, Teacher's quality were too bad. I did counselling with Mary who is School staff. Her behavior was so awful. She said bad thing to me and very big attitude and looked down me.
Why she is counselor?
Counselor has to consider student and put their shoes.

Actually, many people complained about this school.

If you are consider to enrol this school, I really don't recommend Greenwich.

Called receptionist, trying to apply to study, a lady called Vihanna picked up first time hang up on me for nothing second time she said just email asked her can’t I discuss over the phone she said just email then hang up again. This is properly the worst experience ever, wondering who would study here with this kind of rude attitude towards the students

I highly do not recommend enrolling with this college.

I have faced so many situations that I do not see as fair. I have submitted my assessments days before the due date and, had no review, the trainer just had a look at them after the due date giving a negative response and, I was not able to fix it, which means I will have to pay it again. The trainer "suggested" to fill in the Unit title and Unit code, but I did not do it and, I got no score on my assessment because of that, It means I have to pay for it again.

The quality of the audio during the online classes is very poor to the point you can not understand it.

It seems the college just wants to do extra profit for their students, based on that and, in some other situations, I recommend you think twice before enrolling in any course at this school.

What looks cheap can cost even more in the end!

My boyfriend and I have enrolled in a business course. This course is so nice I have many new ideas for working our teacher is Arif, he’s such a good teacher for me. He shared many experiences and gave us English tips.

We study online 100%. The Greenwich system is the best, you can access resources as you need for your assignment

Just only a lot of assignment that gonna make me cry but still fun tho.

Very bad administration, receptionist rude. All the time change the teachers. The students no have book only photocopies.
I was expecting more from this school but the quality is getting very bad.

Greenwich is one of the best education providers in Australia. They have the best professors who help students for their better career. Also thanks to Eli for supporting in smooth enrollment process

Teacher was good but they completely mis sold the course, make sure you ask to see everything you’re learning about and the individual units. When I signed up the Syllabus was “being changed” so I couldn’t see all the units. The course was advertised as “master of digital marketing”. I didn’t learn anything to do with digital marketing, but do this course if you want to learn about legislation and regulations in Australia. I learnt more about digital marketing in an hour on my own. They didn’t seem to care that they had done this and haven’t even responded to my complaint about this, other than sending me payment reminders.
