Great Northern Trading Post

In a post COVID restaurant world it has been hard to find places that tick all the boxes. The Trading Post Laguna is just that. We went yesterday (yes it was 42 degrees) and had the most amazing lunch. The place oozes rustic charm, the service is exceptional and the food is to die for. We can not wait to get back there and try some of the other delights on the menu.

Stopped here for a late brekkie whilst out for a leisurely drive. I had the pork sausage patty with egg on the English muffin and it was very tasty.

Coffee was also really good and rounded off by great service and friendly staff.

We have friends living in Laguna which means we are privileged enough to eat here regularly. Food is lovely and the menu does seem to get updated quite frequently. Rosa and Team are always welcoming and must be some of the hardest workers in the valley.

Traveled through here bike packing from Wollombi to Wisemans Ferry. Great spot with amazing food and great coffee. I went though mid week and it was very quiet. Nice atmosphere and good service.

Fantastic spot for a tap beer and a catch up.
We popped in for a quick beer during a day out in the region and loved the atmosphere.
Plenty of parking and other people passing through.
We'll be back to try the restaurant as the food looks popular amongst the amount of people dining in.

Wow the people working here are amazing. Very friendly and caring towards visitors. Drop in and enjoy many of their offerings. Oh and drop by the beautiful fresh fruit and veggie shop hidden in the shed at the front. Raza is amazing. It’s with the trip from Newcastle or Sydney or wherever you are from. Great day out.

Came here on a Friday morning. Lovely place to stop. I drink black coffee and can confidently say they do a fantastic brew given how smooth the straight up stuff they serve is. Friendly staff and fantastic location. Facilities are clean and aesthetically pleasing.

It is an absolutely amazing place to sit and enjoy the tranquil view with the cup of coffee or glass of wine.

Stopped off on the back way from Sydney to the Hunter. Good range of food and drink, friendly efficient service. Well worth a visit.

The Trading Post is a regular stop for me on a motorcycle ride, today I stopped in & the place looked amazing, Cafe Marjorie is such a warm & generous space, my double espresso was on point & the bacon & egg roll was delicious (sans bun) staff where helpful & friendly … highly recommend

Always a favourite stop on my way to the Hunter. Great food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere.

Extremely expensive food. Very small servings. Food was average tasting. If you like spending lots of money on below average food then this is the place for you. Place was also very run down. Not suitable for people in wheelchairs, not very mobile or unstable on their feet. Local children use the seats, tables, chairs and railings as their play gym and put mud everywhere. You are far better off bringing your own food and having a little picnic off the side of the road. You will end up with far better views than the mediocre ones at the trading post. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Very rustic and hippy, very friendly service and excellent coffee. WTch out for the friendly dog who wants you to throw the wet, soggy leaf for him to retrieve. Beautiful views.

A cute little spot and good for groups. It was very busy when I went as there was a number of large groups. This meant that they were not really open to serving drinks other than quick pours. I do get it as it was a busy Friday night and extra staff are hard to find. But service was very warm and friendly.

The awesome staff at the GNTP helped us host our daughters 21st birthday on the weekend. The finger food was delicious, atmosphere was fantastic and the staff went over and above to ensure we had a memorable afternoon. Highly recommend the venue for any occasion, the new deck area meant no matter the weather we could still continue. Rosa took care of the food and drink selection, she did not disappoint. OMG the best Fish & Chip canapé ever!

Always great to come back for a visit, loved the improvements with the deck out the front, great food, great service and great staff!

Very cool spot in Laguna. We usually grab a bite to eat for lunch when passing by. Very rustic surrounds, friendly staff and a reasonable menu.
