Meals amazing for pub food. Accommodation fresh and clean, a heater in room would be nice

Just finishing off a wonderful lunch meal…the beef cheeks and chicken schnitzel were fantastic. Well done on the great renovations too! Bravo!

Lady at front bar awesome. Friendly and knowledgeable.
Young lady at restaurant ok. I know we are only passer bys, but sometimes a friendly smile helps break the monotony of a long drive.
We had bangers "n" mash for our meal, nothing wrong with that meal. Tasty, filling, yep we enjoyed our meal washed down with lemon, lime and bitters and my partner had a Carlton black.
The room.clean and had all the necessities, kitchen where one can help themselves to coffee or tea. Great Northern Hotel. I would gladly stop o/night again if passing that way.
Oh the shower.great.just watch the toilet seat.slippery little sucker.but that is just a minor.minus.

Quite stylish and refurbished inside. Interesting enclosed children's play area. Nice staff. Great food. All new pokies.

A lovely place to enjoy a drink, eat and relax. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

The staff are fantastic so friendly just awsum,
But, we were there 27th Feb for dinner, just disappointed with the food, had a chicken parmigiana tasted like fish as think cooked in the same oil as seafood, not just myself but others at the table said the same,
It was tuff to cut as well as well. Just the food put us off, but will be back for drinks.

The food there was not enjoyable my schnitzel was nearly off, the staff were not friendly especially the bar girl and my mum’s fish was very greasy

Chef knows how to cook a steak! Ordered medium rare, came out perfect. Very hard to find in a good restaurant let alone a pub!

Great drinking he great food and even daily specials with the bistro and cash to be won on the pokies

Service was fantastic! We had a schnitty (10/10) and the goats cheese and lentil salad! I did get the wrong order initially and they had run out of lentils which I didn’t notice when I first started eating. When I mentioned this is the staff, they were hugely apologetic and made sure we were well looked after. We stopped in Kemsey on the way up the coast and we would drop in to the great northern again! Thank you

Very good for kids if your having dinner but that's about it unless your having a beer with a mate or by yourself. Food not as good as the top pub by far but better then the rsl. The only thing is don't go into the pokie room because it's always a black out. I give one star to the staff and one star to the kids area and one star to the looks.

The Hong Kong Chinese restaurant food is delicious, always does a great trade, the Great Northen also has a bistro & gamimg rooms

If your not a local it's a little hard to fit in, seems like a upper class sort of atmosphere.pokies are ok, food isn't bad
