I would highly recommend them for all tenants. The whole team is very friendly, helpful and supportive. Throughout my rental period they made it pain and stress free. They care about tenants' outcomes and communicate with tenants very well. This is the best experience I have had with a real estate agency.

A great experience with Great Neighbours for my very first rental. Every query during my tenancy was answered promptly, any required repairs were done swiftly with no headaches and the vacation process was smooth and seamless. I had the place professionally cleaned upon vacation and have been informed I will be receiving my bond back with no issues. Would be very happy to deal with them again - thanks so much for everything.

Worst agent ever seen. Mean people.
Won’t recommend at all!
Such a shame that the landlord ask them to lease such a great property.
Btw, their website sucks.
Absolutely nightmare

Don't use this agent any more. We had a very bad experience. The agent played lots of hooks in a couple of months ago to push up the rent from the landlord or try to change the tenant to make additional profits, as they believe the market is high this year. They did regular inspections in the past years during the pandemic crisis, but this year things become much different. After the agent inspected the apartment this year which is pretty much similar as that of last year, they even asked landlord to come for another inspection even though we have agreed to clean everywhere they have raised issues for. They hide landlord's real identity when they come and introduce the one more person to us as if she is a staff from the agent, and asked so many ridiculous things from us, such as you should move all the things out to make the clean, including sofa, fridge, etc. (Come on, we are living here. You cannot ask for a clean like the one when we moving out). We eventually decide to move out from the apartment as we do not want to play the game with the agent.

The worst agency ever! Just mean people in general. Don’t rent from them, they will go to above and beyond to try to deduct your bond. My friend was one of the victims. A professional cleaning team was hired until satisfactory. But the agency will say they are not happy with the cleaning, and only after the next tenants move in and take you to court to make sure that they deduct your money. Worst people in general. There are many other victims too as you can see from reviews, and they don’t care. Everybody in the team seem to have the same values too, if you ask them why they didn’t tell you if they are not satisfied with the cleaning, so you can have cleaners go back until they are satisfied. They replied, “you seem to think you own the property, you can’t have that opportunity because new tenants moved in and they said one of the area is not cleaned enough to “their standards” and is inconvenient to them, so we have to deduct your bond for not up to the new tenants satisfaction. ”

This is just so ridiculous, how are we able to foresee what the new tenants standards are about one particular area that they do not think is cleaned well enough, and how can we have a chance to make them satisfied if they don’t tell us before they move in or give cleaners the chance to go back to address the issue? The agency will give you this impossible situation.

So I don’t know what world these people live in.they should try to be kind people in this world. These kind of conflicts and all these 1 star reviews could have been avoided if they are kind people.

For a couple of years my partner and I have been tenants of an apartment managed by Great Neighbours. From the get go - and throughout the entire tenancy - everybody at Great Neighbours have provided extraordinary service.

They are very responsive and always answer the phone with a friendly voice. As stated on the website, Great Neighbours treat everybody as a client and acknowledge the importance of tenants which have been evident throughout our tenancy.

Our experience is that Great Neighbours is a fair, friendly, and very professional agency. Highly recommended.

Need to share my experience.

I rented a unit from this agent for 3 years, they were very nice when i moved in and helpful. I asked for a couple of things to be fixed and they fixed them straight away.when i gave notice they were disappointed and asked if they could do anything to make me stay but i moved in with my partner.
I used a cleaner at a cost of $450 for a 2 bedroom, when agent inspect they found the cleaner had missed the rangehood filter, the shower screen and the dishwasher. The agent allowed my cleaner to come back and fix these items without further cost. My bond was released within 24 hours of the cleaner returning.

In 3 years I spoke with 3 or 4 different people and they were all very friendly, helpful and sorted things out.

Good people to deal with

If I could give lower, I would.
I would reconsider using these guys to rent off, they will scam you out of your bond.
And definitely not to use as property management.
Just avoid. Save yourself time and money

Professional, friendly and helpful. The team at Great Neighbours have helped make the transition into my new rental property as stress free as possible, which given we are amidst a COVID Lockdown, is no small feat. They are easy to contact, are responsive to communications and were straight into arranging repairs. Excellent communication. Each team member I have met has demonstrated intelligence, verve and a warmth that is all too rare these days. Highly recommended!

Absolutely sensational real estate.lived in north shore for 4 years and they fixed everything promptly, helped me with my rent through covid and I just vacated and they sorted my cleaner out free of charge.read some of these old reviews and its all rubbish, who would be a real estate with all these silly people

Glenda has managed my property portfolio for nearly 15 years, in that time I have bought and sold property and she has rented and managed multiple units.

I know Glenda is supported by a team of agents that look after the nuts and bolts of the business, but it is Glenda that keeps me informed, she interprets everything I need to know into my language.

It is necessary for me to share a review because 2020 has been an outstandingly difficult year, tenants have needed assistance both financially and emotionally in ways an agent does not usually get involved in. Landlords equally have been tested and stretched. AND YET Glenda and her team have remained constant, always available, always with the answers and always willing to make things work.

I can not recommend this business highly enough

My experience with Great Neighbours was not so "Great".

I was forced to make an application to the NSW Civil & Administrative Tribunal ("NCAT") to have my bond returned.

In my experience, Glenda Mullins, the principal of this agency was either ignorant of the law or did not act in good faith. She did not respond positively to my emails regarding the bond monies, and she hung up on me when I telephoned her in order to discuss the matter.

NCAT rejected the Ms Mullins' arguments. It found in my favour and ordered that the full bond be returned to me.

Ms Mullins' actions were reviewed by NCAT and found to be inconsistent with the law.

Further to Ms Mullins' response (below), I attach the NCAT orders as a photograph to this review. Interested parties may now read the NCAT orders and decide for themselves whether to believe my version of events (above) or Ms Mullins' version (below).

My tenants recently vacated our property, they left broken glass in the dishwasher, excess packing boxes and the garden in a very ordinary state. Throughout their tenancy they'd paid 7 days late, it was almost as if they waited for Great Neighbours follow up systems to be prompted into action.

I am extremely grateful, as should the tenants be, for Great Neighbours diligence in ensuring they didn't get themselves into a deep financial hole. I also appreciate Great Neighbours staff are NOT cleaners, when a tenant leaves a mess they need to pay to fix it.

I read some of the reviews made and find it a little ironic that after 18 months of an excellent tenancy where both parties work cooperatively and with a common goal, they can write a negative review on a business that actually did its job.

HIGHLY recommend this team of professionals

Worst agency I have ever used, we had the place looking in better condition than when we moved in and they said, it needs do much done, I've been renting for many years and I couldn't wait to get away from these incompetent twits. Amateurs. I feel sorry for the owners. My advice stay away. Go to a real agency

Tough, uncompromising and very effective agent
I leased a property for 5 years with them and they treated me professionally and with courtesy, they fixed everything i asked and I made the property my home

They are now my agent as a landlord which says a lot
