Had the best 2 week quick visit to train at gbwollongong. Everyone was so nice and welcoming specially the professor and coach tayla! Cant wait to comeback and train again!

By far the best Brazilian iu-jitsu community in wollongong. Anytime I travel through NSW, I always make an effort to stop in to see Gabriel.

Always wanted to try BJJ and gave it a go over a month ago and I am in basically in love with the sport now. BJJ Wollongong made me feel welcomed and supported. Really great vibes. Perfect place to start your BJJ journey.

I’m from a Muay Thai kickboxing background and can definitely say I was skeptical at first but 3x days in I’m convinced that this is something I should of tried years ago! Great teacher, great students and no kicks or punches to the head

Professor Gabe is amazing. Very professional, great quality classes, the team is amazing and the vibe inside the school is spectacular.

Nothing but good things to say about Gracie Barra Wollongong.
The facility is always very clean (which is super important) and large enough to accommodate all of the students as well as for spectating parents. The other students are all extremely friendly and it is a very welcoming environment.
One thing that stands out to me the most is the coaches' Attitude toward the students, especially the beginners. The coaches seem to genuinely care about the students and their martial arts journey as well as making the experience welcoming as we all know our first time at anything can be very daunting. Organizing a trial was super easy and made the leap into the Jiu Jitsu world even easier. I felt very nervous arriving to my first class however this was all alleviated as soon as I stepped through the door where I was greeted by the lovely lady at the front desk as well as the professor who gave me a run down of what I should expect for the first lesson.
The friendly smiles make GB Wollongong feel like a family and I will definitely be recommending GB Wollongong to anyone who is interested in Jiu Jitsu.

I've been training Jiu jitsu for 4 yrs and GB Wollongong has some of the highest calibre knowledge I've been taught in a calm atmosphere with only positive vibes. Highly recommended.

I recommend for everyone in Illawara and specially in Wollongong join in Martial Arts at Gracie Barra. Definitely this is the best gym for your kids, teenagers and adults learn discipline, Anti Bullying Program and Self Defense from BJJ. The best staff and coaches ️

This is not a criticm. More of a comment on how fishy it is to have so many 5 star reviews come all at the same time 3 months ago, all of them being very similar. Kinda makes the ol walnuts move when tying that in with that single 1 star review your business responded to on this review board. Leaving it at 3 stars for now. I will be visiting this place soon, looking to do jiu jitsu, muay thai and kick boxing. Will change comment and rating once visited. If this is not changed

No intention to damage your reputation, anyone can see that if they take the time to read what I said, like you have. So for now will place 5 stars because you are concered over it despite the legitimacy of so many of the reviews here are.questionable, seeing such a pattern/trend.especially when some of the reviews are coming from both long term and short term students which as I stated before happen to be very similar in nature and occurred at the same time for whatever reason.

Such a trend would make sense if someone had asked any customers attending to give an honest review of the place. And if such practise did occur kinda takes away credibility from your business. Nothing personal

This school is friendly, welcoming and has a great professor and coaches. Both my daughters love coming to train here. This school has so much to offer people of all ages. I am confident in knowing my daughters will be able to safely defend themselves if ever needed and keeps them fit and active!

I have been training at GB wollongong for over 2 years. Its my second home. Quality instructors who are passionate about sharing their knowledge. Really comfortable environment with humble and welcoming students.

I've been a member of GB Wollongong for just over a year now. I joined without knowing anything about Jui-Jitsu and I can say it is one of the best health based decisions I have made in my life. The instructors have been so helpful, and even with two periods where I couldn't train due to travel and injury they have given me support I needed t progress, and genuinely want you to improve and grow. The higher belts are great and they help with technique and rolling. So glad I found it.thanks to everyone involved!

I have moved around in Martial schools and ended up Gracie Barra Wollongong, the place has a positive atmosphere and you always feel welcome no matter where you are from and who are.the curriculum is on point and there is always a class that suits your ability.the safety of the school is outstanding and It is a comfort to know that you are carrying a high impact activity in a safe environment.professors and coaches are great accommodators and always encourage everyone to ask question if something isn't clear.
