Govetts Leap lookout reviews
44Spectacular viewpoint, with the waterfall as a differentiating element, there is a picnic area.
One of the most stunning lookout in the Blue Mountains, great view on the falls and the valley. Not unusual to see Black Cockatoos flying around so look up! Very easy access from Blackheath. The lookout and amenities have been rebuilt recently, this is lovely and more convenient. Can be very busy in peak period.
A very accessible look-out - the lookout is right next to the carpark with incredible views. A must see in the Blue Mountains
Amazing view! There are several walks available. For a 5 minutes walk you can have a different view of the waterfall and the mountain.
Lovely short walk at Govetts Leap from Blackheath via Pope's Glen. Breathtaking views at the end. As a European visitor, I find the expanse of forest breathtaking.
A convenient drive-thru lookout with a view as good as the other touristy scenic spot. I can imagine the veil (fall) will look best in the morning when the sun beam is on it.
Stunning views. Easy access. Great interpretation centre nearby, although some of the staff weren't exactly friendly.
Beautiful lookout with amazing views and plenty of nice spots to look at waterfalls and greenery, nice tracks to go for walks and enjoy nature at its best
Amazing views. Parking, picnic tables, toilets. Plenty of more challenging walks start here heading down into the valley or to the right along the cliff top towards the waterfall. Or take the shorter easy walk to your left round to George Phillips Lookout which also has ‘wow-factor’ view.
Very beautiful and stunning view of blue mountain Parkland area. Easy excess and parking and place to have family gathering or small party.
Amazing place, Popes Glen Track is a nice Grade 2 track with streams of water, pond and nice flora and fauna. Suggest to take a clockwise route as you might miss the turn and take double timing instead of 2 hrs. Take your swimmers if want a dip.
Great lookout, no hiking needed. Or you can hike to a few different spots from here. Decent parking lot and bathrooms.
If you can avoid the tourists this is a very beautiful spot, I highly recommend visiting in the early morning hours too for stunning colors and maybe even some fog rolling across the valley
Plenty of parking, a min walk to the beautiful lookout point. Public restroom available. Trail walks clearly labelled. Benches available to sit on. Amall garden space with grass for a quick picnic.
Situated at the end of Govetts Leap Road offering a huge 180 degree views from the lookout across the valley looking out to waterfalls (best to visit 1 day after heavy rainfall) and parking is metres from the cliff edge.
Bathrooms available also during the day.
Situated at the end of Govetts leap road this look out is one of the best you'll see in the Blue mountains.
The escarpment, thematic water fall make this a not to be missed site.
Picnic area along with rest room facilities available.

Great spot within the RNP. Best to drive here and park at the big parking lot. The beach is awesome and you can take walks either to the north (to Eagle Head) or south, along the coast. The northern route is family friendly, but pretty steep, so would need a decent level of fitness. However the views and fauna is great, so well worth it.
Always a pleasure to visit this lookout, perfect for picnics, photos and short hikes. Make sure to wear comfy footwear!
Absolutely worth the early start for the sunrise from Govetts. It’s also a 15 minutes walk from Bridal Veil falls if you wanted to fit in a short and scenic walk
